All the tattoo artists I know or have known used the term studio since it sounds more professional, and less "seedy".
Some were more anal about it than others. But alot of people, I guess lay-persons say parlor. So, to any tattoo professionals out there, what do you prefer, or do you even care? Just curious.....

Old names die hard...some people still refer to flight attendants as stewards and stewardesses.

Many tattoo artists talk between themselves referring to their studios as "shops" but no one uses parlors.

My 'shop" is a studio.

i think studios sound better...parlor reminds me of a smoky room with whores standing around...and the smell of bad whiskey in the air..lol.......

Neither. My ole man and I (I do piercings) use the word "shop". Its more "comfortable" to people where we live. It has alot to do with where you live and each persons preference,I think.
