Heres my story,
this his how goes
The day my bestfriend
Had left me all alone
Real bad choice
Horrible decision
Who would of thought that
Beer had caused the collision.

Late night out
Cruisin’ on the town
Before you grabbed the keys,
You had a couple rounds
Didn’t take a second to think about nothing
Who would have known that something would happen

Speedin down the road in your 69 nova
Beer in one hand shifter in the other.
Goin to fast couldn’t see the turn
Hit the brakes so hard, your tires coulda burned,
then in one split second your car had overturned.

(CHORUS)
This is the beginning of the end
Livin’ my life without my bestfriend
Didn’t have time to tell you I loved you.
Now you’re gone and I don’t know what to do.

(BRIDGE)
I need you.
I miss you.
want one last moment with you.
I hate you
For leavin me here alone
I need to
hear you
One more time.
To see your
smile so bright.

It was about 2 am when I had got the call
Couldn’t even breathe when the tears began to fall
My whole world came, crashin down around me
Now I’m left, to stand on my own two feet.

(CHORUS)
This is the beginning of the end
Livin’ my life without my bestfriend
Didn’t have time to tell you I loved you.
Now you’re gone and I don’t know what to do.

Morning finally broke, I grabbed my things
Headed out to town, To view the wretched scene
White chalk line in the shape of your body
That’s the very last thing a friend would want to see
Shattered glass was spread across the road
“you were goin bout 90” that’s what I was told
Couldn’t break down
Cause you hate to see me cry
Damn, I never thought this is the way I’d say goodbye.

(CHORUS) repeat x2
This is the beginning of the end
Livin’ my life without my bestfriend
Didn’t have time to tell you I loved you.
Now you’re gone and I don’t know what to do.

I waited for you all these years,
But all I ever found were tears.
And though my heart for you did yearn,
Never your love, could anything earn.

I had to write an ode to something; I chose the season, summer. I actually wrote two. Tell me which one is better and how I can improve on it. I like the second one best. =] ....I'm 14, btw and I have really bad writer's block.lol.

Here's the 1st:

Ode to summer,
You’re my favorite time of the year.~
Except when the humidity
Is too much to bear.~

When you’re around,
It’s warm enough to swim
And lay on the beach~
And bright green leaves
Cover each tree.~

I love you, summer,
When I don’t have to think twice~
About buying ice cream or water ice.~

When your time comes,
People can switch to flip-flops and shorts~
And go outside
To play their favorite sport~

I love you, summer,
Where I can show off my toes~
But one thing I hate
Is the bees and mosquitoes~

Summer, you are fun,
Amusement parks with thrill rides~
And there’s always time to go for a bike ride.~

Summer, you go too fast
August then September,~
Then, right back to the frigid winter.~

Fly

(kids and I did this for fun...)

Up, down
all
around

Zig zag
land
on a rag

Stay there
I’ll be right back

Shhhhhhhh

(tip-toe’n)

“WHACK!”

Flat, splat
all
over
the rag

See?
told you
I'd be back...

Suicide (as seen from the other side)

Way down under
feel the thunder
reeking havoc
from below
~
Flames rise higher
blue flamed fires
seeking mattock
tortured souls
~
Suicidal
oh so vital
blood seeps through
on into hell
~
Prayers have
been granted
Satan chanted
He’ll be watching you as well...

{He was a great man that I cared for at a nearby nursing facility, he will be sorely missed}
(Love you Bobby)

I’m Still It........

Bobby was a kid at heart
since the tender age of three
Stricken by Scarlet fever
He remained that child indeed

Bobby was fifty-six years old
when he suffered a heart attack
while roaming through the hallways
as the police or playing tag

I knew Bobby just two years
in a walker racing askew
Screaming out a siren
warning all he’s coming through

I’d play tag with Bobby
if it didn’t hurt my job
He liked to sneak up on me
so I’d say “I see you Bob”

Just to see him smile and laugh
it truly made my days
He’ll never know I loved him
and all his silly ways

He’d meet me at the time clock
to be sure he tagged me last
Yesterday, he did and I’m still it
I’ll never get him back..........

I wrote this poem and am just wondering what other people think of it.Im a beginner,so its gonna be very rookie and rough.
"A Womans Nightmare"

You were heartless when you it
You werent thinking of her,
You were thinking of the sick revolting pleasure
And now you've changed her bright like sunshine world,
Into pain and heartache nobody can measure
Each night,while lying in bed
That dreadful moment plays over and over in her torn head,
Haunting her
You reminisce that sick moment,
Only you swim in the nightmare of it all
And every night, she cries, putting her hands to her face;shell fall
She thinks and thinks, knowing she wont recover!
Why couldnt you let her have her pride and dignity?
But that night, you did it with your thoughtless mind and stability
You're a selfish bastard!

Theres more to the poem, but i cant fit it all here.what do you guys think of my poem so far?

Okay, I HAD to write an ode on anything that I wanted to write it on. I chose the season, summer. Mainly because it has a lot of things that could be described and because it's summer right now. While writing this, I realized that I am not good at odes...lol...so, tell me what you think and what can I change?

I'm 14, btw....if that makes any difference...lol....and I get writer's block, especially when I have a topic thrown at me.

=]

xoxo,

Thanks!

So far i got this.

The sun goes up but I don’t rise,
I stay in bed and close my eyes,
I perceive what others don’t,
I imagine what others won’t,

Thoughts set free,
Troubles confined,
Sorrows vanish,
Pain left behind,

I am in command,
I am in power,
What I demand,
Is done within the hour,

I miss Tyler, Penfold, and the erstwhile BoobBoob
Are they absent on account of surfing for porn on Youtube?
Whatever the reason
It seems like treason
For them to skedaddle
They ought to be paddled.
Though they might not mind,
It would teach their hiney
That their duty to their minions
And their astute opinions
Are what makes this site right fine-ey.

In my pool of apple cider
A sugar cookie is my raft
Just dance the flame a random lighter
And breathe in the sweet smoke draft

There my problems seem so pale
Where trees are chocolates of dark brown
Just breathe in and exhale
And all day I'm upside down

This is one I wrote a few years back.
The Knife by Yoselis Ramos

Trying to find someone who can relinquish the pain
To just take the remorse away
Trying to find the refuge to ecstacy
Im tired of all the tears, the pain- so deep
When will I find serenity?

Starting to get desperate
As the knife gets through deeper
Wondering if anyone can see the expression
That lies on the visage of my heart
As i cover away my tear

Full of sorrow, fear, and frustration
Tired so much of the suffering
Trying to find someone with the consolation
Someone with the courage to reach out
And remove the knife from my heart
In need of help
Of someone who wont tare me apart
Wishing you knew just how I've felt

The knife, stabbing my soul as the sharp edge
Begins to create crimson tears
Having words all around me
Many saying it was just a waste
Can I believe what was being said
Was loving you a mistake
You took my heart and soul
Now lies an empty space- a hole

He is the man of my life.
Not the guy of my life,
But the man of my life.
He is the man of my life,
Not the guy of my life
Because the man I love,
Is not a guy,
Nor a boy.
Nor a male,
He is the man
That is always there for me.
He is the man
That will fight for me,
For what he believes,
Not what my father believes.
He is the man
That loves me,
For who I am.
These are the main points of
Being the man of my life
And this man has all of these points.
And that is why
He is the man of my life,
Not the guy of my life.

My Girl

I knew
A girl
Who had
Blonde curls
She was
So cute
She was
Dads’ girl
But, then
One day
Her hair
Fell out
Her dad
He said
You’re my
Son now!
The girl
She cried
And could
Have died
But, bought
A wig
To ease
Her mind
The wig
It was
Made of
Blonde curls
Dad said
You are
Once more
My girl

Sneakin’ In

I know what you think,
hands on your hips,
lips all sour, looking at me
like I forgot.
Birthday? Anniversary?
The day of our first kiss?
March 17th! Thank you so very much.
Midori Margaritas, St. Patricks Day,
green, green, green. I know you don’t
see flowers. Stargazer Lilies that’s what
you would have gotten. Anyone can get roses.
Suppose you think I’m cheap
Just read you some boring love poem
Well, since you insist
Your eyes,
skies filled with stars.
My soul, your heart
apart from you I’m nothing.
Your touch burns my skin
from deep within
blah, blah, blah, blah
cliché cliché
I love you.

Yes, I know it’s 2 AM.
What’s your point?

ok so I was writing a poem about how foolish war was after reading an amazing inpirational WW2 poem by an author named Talia W. Parker and it inspired me to right one of my own so after 2 hours of Idea's I finall have the first draf ready it's a little clunky but I NEED HELP ON THE LAST LINE, I DONT KNOW A GOOD LINE TO END MY POEM WITH, I want to give the message in that last line but I dont know how HELP!

here it is

Ice cracks, dogs bark
Tires screech, the fire sparks
Lights blink, the wind blows
Heart's bleed they'll never stop
There is no lullaby left in this nightmarish game
The men argue, do they know what has changed
Lightning strikes as the women screams
Some praying for all this to be a bad dream
A veil of shadows blocks the twilight sky
Innocent Blood has smeared from every battle cry
You see the grins; you can feel the wrath
You're all alone; in this psychopath
you grab the gun, giving the world one last kiss
Thunder crashes, with no one left to miss
the clocks ticks, the hour strikes
Such fools are we not knowing wrong from right
The scene is set it all goes black,
The curtain raised the final act.
Sirens raging in the night,
sounds of horror, gasps of fright.
Intense pain, the smell of blood
tearing eyes begin to flood.
They pull out bodies one by one,

John and Sue are two of a kind.
He is deaf and she is blind.
The perfect marriage, you'll agree.
He can't hear and she can't see.

She has hearing, he has sight.
There's no way John and Sue could fight.
For when she's mad and starts to shout,
He'll close his eyes and block her out.
What she can't see will never hurt.
He treats her like a piece of dirt.

Poor Sue could never shake the doubt.
Was he in or was he out?
Watching football. drinking beer.
Slapping women on thier rear.

She only knew when John was in
If Susan bumped right into him.
John had changed, as she soon found.
He'd move the furniture around.
An obstacle left in her path
Made Susan fall and Johnny laugh.

A nast mouth and viscious tongue
She can't do right for doing wrong.
John as not the man for her.
Didn't want her, didn't care.
So Susan left without delay.
Packed her bags and ran away.
The man was such a callous brute
So she left Johnnie for a mute.

I've been a member for only one day and already I am blocked. :-(

You see, I pointed out that YA Member-The Dark Prince often plagiarizes. I had found over 15 instances where his poems were in fact copyrighted song lyrics . Most were resolved questions, but I did post comments on those that were still open. Now I am blocked. I didn't do anything wrong, but I feel like I did.

Anyway, I called my girlfriend and had her check him out. One answer she read to me mentioned this guy is publishing a book. I wonder if someone should contact his publisher and make them aware so they can double-check his stuff before they print it.

I guess I will attempt to post my first poem (written by ME of course). Hopefully, I will get some good, honest feedback. Thanks for listening!!

To live in the world of the fearful
Is to live in the shadow of pain.
To slowly forget about feelings
Where everyone else is to blame.
The choice to be callous is easy
Its easy to hate than to feel.
When we turn from the pain of our brothers
We remove their incentive to heal.

For the person unloved is unloving
And knows nothing about inner wealth.
Fo no one can care for another
What the other can't feel for himself.

When the loveless, unloving and heartless
Refuses to care for his kind.
The man will return him the favour
Unloving, uncaring and blind.

And so goes the infinate cycle.
The human desire for the good.
Yet if man is at war with another,
He is hell bent on spilling his blood.
With so little trust of our feelings,
The curse of the need to be led.
In a world of acute indecision
Where the living become like the dead.

Oblivion

One day a shadow fluttered inside
his heart, and took up residence there.
Slipping in unseen by the light
of a half-eaten moon.
Wiping the floor bare,
sweeping in every direction.
There would no escape, no hope,
no other lovers.
For this was a jealous god—and hungry.
Soon, it filled all the spaces between.
Soon, there was no space at all.
Until all that was left was a shadow
fluttering alone beneath the dim stars
too far away to touch.

Lizards
Federico Licsi Espino

"Cousins to Charmeleons
but-color-fast
They wear the drabness of the dusk
Against the ceiling's
incandescent glow.
For insect blinded by the bright
Conspiracy of tongue anf tungsten, they
Are dragons
atrophied but still as cunning
As their mythic counterparts.
Feigning
Gentleness, they wait for unsuspecting
Wings drawn to dazzlement and only, only
When the prey is near
Do they slough off all disguise:
These dragons who have lost
their blowtorch
Breath but not the coldness
Of their green, reptalian blood."

Our love.

We loved like nobody before,
our passion was strong,
and full of power.

I new we had something,
lik we were meant for eachother,
So i told a joke,
And i drooled over your laughter.

I Wish others would understand,
all the passion that we had.
But i guess no one did.
Its okay as long as we are together,
as long as our love last forever.
