Winter is Coming

He sat and wondered what his future held. For something he had worked so hard for and something he had planned for a lifetime may be a waste. . For he couldn’t ever see a future so bleak. For he could see no future, but yet he had no say for his words were not heard.

Lying in the cold on the brink of death, he knew he had to move on. He may sit and wait and be killed - or he could move on and suffer and wait to be thrown to hell. He reminded himself of his achievements and commanded himself to stride forward. He didn’t come this far to give up and die like the pitiful flower that nobody cares for.

He strove on with Crashes all around him. He tried to stay at feet but he was helpless. He had to fight or he and his alliance would collapse like him. He stood firm but it was an endless road of pointlessness. He fell into a permanent sleep in the likes of hell.

You see I'm so damned lonely
Sitting here with blur in my head
With dreams of cold beer and vodka
Feeling like screaming
Screaming like living

Can you see I'm in pain
Music in my head does nothing to help
Voices I hear make it even worse
I feel like screaming
I feel like living

Don't you know I miss you badly
And drinking vodka does nothing to help
Beer after vodka makes it even worse
I feel like drinking
Drinking is living

Will I learn what to do with myself
Will I learn how to end this torment
Which everyone calls daily routine
I call it screaming
I'm going to scream for life

It's probably obvious that English is not my native language, but I wish to improve it, so your comments on grammar&spelling mistakes I may have made are welcome.

I am a stay at home mom. I have had some praise for my writing in the past. I would like to write articles online, but I don't really know where to begin. What exactly is "freelancing"? How do I begin? I am a bit of a recluse so I don't want to have to actually meet people to promote myself, I would rather do it with the anonymity of the internet. Is this possible? I have been published on www.associatedcontent, but they only pay Americans, which I am not. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have recently completed a novel. I have also written several short stories, too. I'm thinking about having the novel published. Are there any publishers that are good to start out with.

I'm still kicking around the idea of submitting the short stories for publication.

Also, this information may be useful: The novel as well as most of the stories fit into the horror/fantasy genre. One short story is serious fiction with some suspense in it.

I have an idea for a story, and I need a hand . Here's the situation -- "Mr . X" has a scret he wants to keep . "Prince Arthur" finds out his secret . "Mr . X" takes "Prince Arthur" to visit "Witch Hazel", and tells her that "Prince Arthur" knows his secret . "Witch Hazel" says "No problem ! I'll turn him into something that can't talk !", and she turns him into a frog . NOW -- what secret was "Mr . X"'s trying to keep ?

What is the correct way to write the 2 sentences below?

1st QUESTION:
After dialog, do you always have to say Michael said or said Michael or Michael implored, to indicate which character made the statement or can you leave it as I have below?

2nd QUESTION:
If you want to indicate a sound such as "BADoom…crack" in the middle of dialog, how do you write it? In quotes within the quote? In parenthesis, within the quote?

DIALOG:
“Listen to me. I will follow once you’re safe, (BADoom…crack) but I can’t do that if you don’t go NOW!” Seeing the look of stark terror in her eyes, Michael lowered his voice.

This is a book of historical fiction about a family with the last name of Field. The main character is a girl with the very patriotic first name of Constitution, called Connie. At some point she visits her brother in New Orleans. His name is something like Jed or Jeb, and his wife I believe is named Stacie. Connie is very independent and works her way through college. She also visits three cousins, whose names are Faith, Hope and Charity. Connie falls in love with an Irish immigrant, Seumas McSeumas, who works for her father. The last line of the book is "And here's mine, with my heart on it." I have been trying to remember either the name of this book or the author for months and would greatly appreciate any help from someone else who has read it.

The sixth Harry Potter book is in paperback and its cheaper than a ream of paper and printer ink/toner and a new pair of glasses from hours of staring at a screen. And the great thing about books is that you can read them ANYWHERE, no electricity required or compatibility or virus worries.
