I am all out of ideas for books to read. I like adventure/fantasy the best. I seem to like more of the young adult than the adult because of less "adult themed" things in the books. Examples of recent books I have read are: Abarat series, Stravaganza series, Harry Potter series, Eragon and Eldest, The Artemis Fowl series, etc. Thanks.

The book is just so dark....It basically says that evil lurks in the heart of all men. So what is its educational value? What can a teenager learn from it?

I myself am writing a series and two other books (all science fiction/fantisy books) and want to know if there are any teens (around 13- about 17, 18 years old) that are writing any science fiction/fantisy books of their own

1. "Hamlet claims that his madness is feigned, an "antic disposition" which he puts on for his own purposes. Why would Hamlet want to feign madness? How can an appearance of insanity help him achieve his ends? Is he really sane throughout the play, or does he ever cross the line into madness? What about Ophelia's mad scene? Is it real or geigned? Is there "method in her madness" as well, or is she entirely irrational? Why has she gone mad? (What two reasons do her songs suggest?)"

2. "Hamlet is a play in which nothing can be taken at face value: appearances are frequently deceptive, and many characters engage in play-acting, spying and pretense. What deliberate attempts are made at deception? Are the intended audiences deceived? While some deceptions are perpetrated in order to conceal secrets, others aim to uncover hidden truths. Which are which? To what extent are they successful? Note references to appearances, disguises, pretense, seeming, masks, acting, etc."

I've read "Wicked: the life and times of the wicked witch of the west" by the fantastic Gregory Maguire, and I've heard that the musical tie-in version is different. What's the difference, though?
I want to buy it, but I won't if it's just the cover that's been changed.

I'm reviewing for a class that I am going to have to take and I wanted to pick your brain about the important writers that spread over the Elizabethan era to the Neoclassical era. I'm going to try to do some additional research so that when the professor alludes to another text I'm not 100% lost. I have read almost everything of Shakespeare so I don't really need any info on him. I hate that guy Christopher Marlow (Homoeroticism isn't something that I really enjoy reading about). Anyone have some must reads drop me a line please. Thanks

Well, I suppose I'm in the "young adult" category (I'm 16) ... but I usually read adult books. I haven't really read anything in a while, outside of required reading for school, and right now I just need a good book to read for fun. Any recommendations anyone has would be great. I don't care if it's fiction or nonfiction, but no heavy romances, please.

Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard
To fetch her poor dog a bone;
But when she came there
The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor dog had none.
She took a clean dish
To get him some tripe;
But when she came back
He was smoking a pipe.
She went to the grocer's
To buy him some fruit;
But when she came back
He was playing the flute.

She went to the baker's
To buy him some bread;
But when she came back
The poor dog was dead.

She went to the undertaker's
To buy him a coffin;
But when she came back
The poor dog was laughing.

She went to the hatter's
To buy him a hat;
But when she came back
He was feeding the cat.

The dame made a curtsey,
The dog made a bow;
The dame said, "Your servant."
The dog said, "Bow wow!"

By gosh this book has everything. Probably the best book I've ever read. Thanks for the person recommending me to read this brilliant book, otherwise I would be missing out on a great deal. Has all the twists and turns and just when you think the expected is going to happen, it goes it a totally different direction. Must read it.

I want to start reading more and I'm going to start by reading some of the authors whose names I see a lot of in the internet. So, I see Dean Koontz mention a lot as a favorite author on Yahoo 360. I'd like to read one of his books, but only one for now. Which one would you recommend for me to read?
