I've seen Tom Clancy show up as a favorite author on lots of people's Yahoo360 pages. I'd like to try one of his books, but I don't know anything about him or his writing. If you were going to recommed one book to me, which one would it be?

Hunt for Red October is a good one. Or Patriot Games. My husband likes his novels, but doesn't care that much for those with his name on the front but "written by" other authors. Sometimes they will do this to sell books by other authors. I think it is deceptive. You have to read the small print on the front of the book. Clancy is a good author. My husband won't read others....Just his.

I would suggest Debt of Honor or Without Remorse. Try to get one that hasn't been made into a movie. You can read those later and see what the movies missed.
