Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality Series would be good for you.
I'm looking for the whole set, as I'm a collector, myself (I've read them all, and they seem to be what you're describing).
You can pick them up at any book store.

Here are some REALLY good books they are all like fantasy/adventure because I like those kinda books too lol
Inkheart and Inkspell by Cornelia Funke (really good!)
A great and terrible Beauty and Rebels Angels by libba bray
Series of Unfortunate Events books 1-13 by Lemony Snicket
The Hollow Kingdom series by Clare B. Dunkle.. I'm only on the second book but it is really good so far (there are three books)
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
Also Lisi harrison has some good books too even though they really aren't fantasy or anything, but.. if you are into like clique type books you should read these otherwise probably not lol :)
For the Inkheart and Great and terrible beauty things I've mentioned.. Libba bray is coming out with a third in fall and Cornelia funke is coming out with a third in 2008 sometime
Hope I helped :)

Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" series is a fantasy that I have tremendously enjoyed, but if you start reading I suggest you have some patience. There are currently 11 books, over 9000 pages total, and the 12th and final book is due out sometime soon. I started reading this series in junior high school, and I'm now 30 and can't wait for the last to come out. Check out the Wikipedia article for a snyopsis.

If you like adventure and fantasty I would try reading some classic sciene fiction from authors like Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, etc.
Also, the Lord of the Rings series and the Hobbit by JRR Tolkien are great books as well as the Chronicles of Narnia series by CS Lewis.

Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer are the best books. I'm reading New Moon for the third time right now and my heart still speeds up when I get to exciting parts, even though I know how it will end. My friends and I are all in love with the books. I highly recommend them.

Try the 'Water' Trilogy by Kara Dalkey, 'His Dark Materials' by Philip Pullman, 'East' by Edith Pattou, and for a change of pace try the manga 'Rurouni Kenshin' by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The first things are really good and if you like action adventures with deep feeling try the last one. But the last one is 28 books long....
Hope you can find some great books!
