I have written poetry to express feelings & to let out things that were eating away at me. I've been published 17 times. I'd love to read some of your poetry. I will look for your site.

Yes I write poetry and stories. I got 72 poems written over a span of 2-3 years. Poetry.com is a scam. I put a few poems on there. If you want type in Ronnel Karew and scroll down till you see Ronnel Bryan Karew. What's the name you put your poems under? As to why I write? Well I write to express myself and because it's the only talent I have.

I've been writing poetry all my life. Sometimes, when I felt that I couldn't express what I wanted to, or when someone criticized my poems, or when I just couldn't think of anything to write about, I wanted to quit writing at all, as if it was just a bad habit.
But the poetry always comes back after a while, and it bursts out, and I just have to write again. I feel that it's not me expressing myself by way of rhymed or unrhymed phrases, but something expressing itself by way of me. Who am I to stop it?
So I usually post my poems on websites, but only the ones I consider the best. There are also some pieces which are poor in form but very sincere and personal, and I treasure feelings and impressions that inspired them, so I keep them just to remember and to show to closest people only.

I do write poetry occasionally. I did a creative writing course as part of my literature degree, so I have been more inspiried since then, but also to challenge myself more. I don't put it on any websites and the only person to see it was my tutor as it's more of a hobby and I'm shy. As a teenager I wrote many poems, it seemed easier then to write without constraints, but I threw them away when I was 20, because they were terrible. For me, my poetry is part interest, part writing down my views of the world and part a challenge to improve my writing.

Used to yes..Have done many poems for friends,relations and workmates over the years all original.
Why... mainly down to requests although the most difficult one I done was for a wedding and each line had to start and finish with the girls first and surname at each end going down if that makes sense.
