I have an idea for a story, and I need a hand . Here's the situation -- "Mr . X" has a scret he wants to keep . "Prince Arthur" finds out his secret . "Mr . X" takes "Prince Arthur" to visit "Witch Hazel", and tells her that "Prince Arthur" knows his secret . "Witch Hazel" says "No problem ! I'll turn him into something that can't talk !", and she turns him into a frog . NOW -- what secret was "Mr . X"'s trying to keep ?

Usually the writer would know the secret when they first started writing the book for it would be one of the main parts of the plot in this story.

Also you would need to develop you plot more. Why would Mr.X care if Prince Arthur knows his secret? Does it affect Prince Arthur in any way? Or anyone Prince Arthur cares about?

The secret Mr. X is trying to keep should probably have somthing to do with Prince Arthur or someone he cares about. It should be a big enough secret that he would have to tell the person that he cares about. Maybe somthing along the lines of Betrayal or Cheating?
