If you're looking for quick, entertaining reads, I recommend trying some books by John Moore:
"The Unhandsome Prince"
"Heroics for Beginners"
"Bad Prince Charlie"
They've got magic, fairy tale elements, romantic plot lines, etc.

if you like magic and all that stuff you might wanna try Harry Potter, you might also like the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings ........hmmmmm yeah thats all i can think of
