I have recently completed a novel. I have also written several short stories, too. I'm thinking about having the novel published. Are there any publishers that are good to start out with.

I'm still kicking around the idea of submitting the short stories for publication.

Also, this information may be useful: The novel as well as most of the stories fit into the horror/fantasy genre. One short story is serious fiction with some suspense in it.

Try authorlink.com. You join for a small price--$30 for the first month and $15 per month after that, or $165 per year--then you upload the first 7,500 words of your novel, a 100-word synopsis, and a 50-word bio, all of which is displayed for agents and editors to read. BTW, this is on the up and up. My creative writing instructor told me about it.
