During the summer, I was listening to radio 2, and there was a lady who had written a book about the loos all around the British Isles.
My husband and I had a laugh about it, but now it's coming up to Christmas, I thought I would pop one in his Christmas stocking. I'm having trouble finding it. Does anyone know what this book is called, or who the author was?

The Samaria was standing-from across the street.
He was as quite as a mouse, at looking back up at me.
He came closer, with cold steel in his hand.
I ran to the distance, thinking of a plan.

okay so i'm an artist and i mostly do pop culture art. Sometimes i use trademarked characters or even logos in my art but only for reference you know. Is using copyrighted anything illegal to use in my art?

im having a difficult time finding auditions, and I've considered submitting to some through craigslist.com but I'm so worried that these people are all scam artists. Has anyone at least gotten a legitimate audition through them? And before anyone says anything I'm a legal adult so i dont need the "talk to your parents" reply.

I have read some brilliant answers on Y!A. It made me wonder if any askers here have taken any of the answers and used them to their own end (as a basis for a thesis, for example) without crediting the answerer.

Then, naturally, because this is how my mind works, I wondered how much of what people post as answers was plagiarized by them.

(Then people are plagiarizing plagiarized material.) Please make my mind stop! :)

I am putting this in Philo because that is where I see the most brilliant answers. :)

What I mean is that do you think that another world exists apart from the human one?
Me: "I think that a magic world exists... I know that's silly for some of you but I've always wish it.
