Ok, here's the thing, I have been doing jazz dance for 3 years now and im 13. In February, I am trying out for a performing arts high school in my area. It is NOT super competetive, they let some people who have been dancing for years, and some with no experience. In the school, you do ballet and modern daily. My teacher goes there and she is the one who said I should tryout.
Here's My Question:
I have NEVER done ballet before, and the audition is ALL ballet! I know jazz and ballet are similar but not the same! I do know all the positions and arms though. And one day like no one came to my class(don't know why), so my teacher went over some ballet barre exercises with me. I really want to do ballet, and my studio's second term starts in January. Do you guys think if i signed up for the second term in ballet, then by February(my audition date) I would/might be ready? I really, deeply want to get in, and after a few years of ballet and modern daily, try to get onto pointe.
Thank you!
