Was there a particular point in history when the USA decided that the welfare of its citizens was paramount to, and of more importance than, the welfare of the other peoples of this Earth? Please give details if possible as it's an anthropologically puzzling issue and I'd be interested to know it's origins.

I love photography but have no formal training. I have a manual Nikon and a digital D55 Nikon as well. I would like to learn the craft of manual photography to be able to apply it to the manual feature of my digital camera, as well as to be able to use my manual NIkon. I would like to learn on my own. Is there anyone who can point me to the right books? Or if you have a better suggestion I will appreciate it. Thanks.

I've been fooled! I just read the Iliad and there was NO HORSE! Why? Where is the horse? I thought at the end Paris killed Hector and Troy was sacked, but I just read the entire epic poem and found nothing! Where is the Trojan Horse, and why was I told I would read about it in the Iiad?

In an interview Salvador Dali stated those were his political beliefs. Though obviously to some extent it was a way to confuse and schock the interviewer but how would this political system work? Theoretically.

Just Because

Just because you wouldn't see
your eyes can only cry

Just because you wouldn't say
your voice can only sigh

Just because you wouldn't listen
your ears ring with goodbye

Just because you wouldn't touch
your arms are now empty

Just because you wouldn't care
you can feel no joy

Just because you wouldn't help
you carry the weight alone

Just because you wouldn't give
your treasures have no worth

Just because you wouldn't love
your heart's forever cold

Just because you wouldn't share
You face death alone

Just because you wouldn't change
you've lost your soul forever

“What is man born for but to be a reformer, a remaker of what man has made; a renouncer of lies; a restorer of truth and good, imitating that great Nature which embosoms us all, and
which sleeps no moment on an old past, but every hour repairs herself, yielding every morning a new day, and with every pulsation a new life?”

Was it because some delegates had slaves and they wanted to keep that freedom while those who didn't have slaves thought that slaves weren't necessary? Or was it because there could be no compromises made?

What is the real reason?

Thanks!

No one is here
Nothing inside
A whisper to deaf
Beauty to blind
A portrait of one she once loved
twice broken
lies heavy on your heart
She suffers like a true artist
Dying for her art
Lying under the tree
She lies under you
Both feeling empty
Both dying new
Soft pain, like wind
blows over them
dull aching at their hearts
Regret like water covers them
fills their empty parts
flowing over broken glass
inside their broken souls
gently flows from empty eyes
In the water, death resides
