Slavery had been a part of history way before Columbus.

Slavery has existed since recorded time, and probably before. Even going back to the first codified laws, those of Hammurabi in Mesopotamia, Slaves were mentioned and laws created that applied to them.

Slavery existed amongst the native peoples long before the White Man showed up, as it was normal occurrence for tribes to raid and capture members of other tribes to be taken as wives (sex slaves) or workers to lighten the load on existing tribal members.

Even Today Slavery exists in Africa, where is has always existed, Asia, and parts of the Middle East.

Slavery is as old as time, and not likely do ever completely disappear.

Slavery has been going on for at least 8000 years. If you mean slavery in the New World, he did, but if he hadn't others would have.

First of all, just because you aren't in school, doesn't mean you shouldn't use proper grammar (I know, I'm a total tight-***).
But, no, he didn't... Slavery was around LONG before Columbus.
