print modeling is handled by specific agencies, write places like Sears Advertising department home office in Chicago for a referal to their agents include an SASE with your query
Tell them you are interested in modeling work for their flyers, include a small pic if you want, but ask for a referal to the agencies that handle their casting.
you might want to also query the big agencies like J Walter Thompson and Needham and Chiat
Again send a small picture an SASE and ask for a referal to agencies they use for casting.
If you get replies send an 8 x 10 gloss face and color full body shot picture to agencies with a query letter and in it you can state whom you were referred by
if your a pretty, buxom female over 18 also write Victoria Secrets advertising director with SASE and ask for a referal.
None of this is done in house.
These places send clothing to a photographer who is employed by the ad agency (J Water thompson) and use models cast by the model agency who are picked to fit the clothes
The account executive and photographer then pick the girls and the outfits
It's all done at a studio in NY, Chicago, SF, LA, Seattle, Portland, Toronoto, Miami and account exect for Sears or Vicky Secrets from a big agency like Chiat or Needham and a photographer and it's done at a location or his studio and and ad exec handles most of it
they work with the models sent, if they don't like a model she isn't asked back next day
they have racks of clothes you either fit them or you don't
the exec and photographer decide if yu look right for those clothes, then they shoot the best or two best.
It'd done over a week or so, the pay is $200 to $5,000 a day depending on the stature of the model
You might also check with commercial photographrs and local agents.
A mid size agency in the sticks of the finger lakes did some of the ads used in store and flyer for Wal-Mart opitcal, they also did ads for tiffen optical
they used local upstate NY talent.
