My Honors English teacher gave us a summer assignment and one of the books we had to read was "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. one of the questions we have to answer on our book notes is

Text: give complete, correct MLA-style bibliographic citation for text.

all this seems like a foreign language! can anyone help me with understanding the meaning of Text. or help with how it ties into the story!!

i pick this article (part of it) from Keith Olbermann's prediction

But what about that scar on Harry’s face? What is it really, the one seared into him in childhood when Voldemort tried to kill him and did kill his parents, the one that could register Voldemort’s emotions, even sense when Voldemort is physically near. It’s got be a horcrux, no? It’s got to be a part of Voldemort carried on Harry Potter’s very flesh?

and the idea just hit me. what if it's true?
harry's parents life's is the killing, so Voldie did made another horcrux. What if harry "is" that something from griffindor? a decendant?

What is the point in life? what do we gain we are born with nothing and we can take anything with us,but we work all our life to get a nice house nice car and a happy family,but are any of us really happy?.im starting to believe that life is not worth living.i want to just wish i wasnt here all the time i feel as if ive nothing to live for.i cant do anyting right i can get pregnant (me and my partner are trying for a baby)i feel like im no good as a mum, or as a human being.what is the point in life? thanx for your help in advance.

My husband has had these large signed figurines for the last 15-10 years. He is convinced they are worth a lot of money. He paid $375 when he purchased them. I don't believe they have gone up in value tremendously. Does anyone know? The 3 that he has is "Hurty Jerty Man", "No Loitering" and "Making Up" I would like to get them scheduled on our insurance but I have to get a price first. Thanks

I am not concerned with religious views on this matter. This is a philosophical question that does not concern "ultimate authority". Do you think there is a such thing as objective truth? That is, something that is true, regardless of what you think or interpret?

The reason I asked for religious views not to be brought in is, I get the argument for right and wrong a lot. Fact is, right and wrong are human conceived concepts, and are irrelevant outside the human experience. Right and wrong IS a point of view. That's not what we're here about, however.

I agree that to know anything with absolute certainty is impossible given our flawed methods of perception. But do you think that means all truth is subjective, and there's no such thing as objective truth? I actually know several people who believe this. They are called relativists.

What do you think?

Or which would you rather do, be servile and very highly paid, or be free and work long arduous hours accumulating minimum wages? Or would you rather sacrifice your dignity and health to have that $250,000.00 house and the luxury car, have your children go to Harvard or Yale, or... be basically healthy and answer only to the landlord, & live in that trailer park on the edge of over there?

Granted there are many more options, but hey, this is a game here. Play it or not, as you will.

I purchased two oil paintings in the Dominican Republic. One is 30 x 40 and another 12 x 32. I went to several places, including Michaels and they are charging $600 to put them on a stretcher, including a fabric mat and frame, which is more than what I paid for the paintings ($400). I paid a lot less for art framing in Miami!

Back in the middle ages were Missionaries sent by kings and nobles to go tell ppl about their religion, or did they do it just cuz thats what they wanted to do.

BTW the reason I ask this is because my Dads side goes back to Missionaries in the 1600's from germany that went to the Ukraine

LIFE Is ENDING

i dont think i can deal with this anymore
no love, just agony and pain
the pain makes me want to walk out the door
staying much longer will drive me insane
i realy have the desire to kill
