Look them up in the better business bureau- they have lots of complaints. Their whole scam is to promise you if you take the classes ( which are very expensive) they will act as agents and find you auditions, but very very few EVER get auditions, much less work. Be very cautious.

There are so many views on JRP. It depends on what you're willing to spend. If you you have got money, then pay for maybe one or two classes. I think they are really great. And you get so many audition opportunities. But WAIT WAIT WAIT on getting pictures from them (use a picture from another studio it's way cheaper) until you absolutely need them (like somebody seriously wants you... then go buy the stupid pics with the logo on it. They can be anywhere from 500 bucks to 1,200. just for some stupid pictures!) And DEFINITELY don't go in there expecting your very first audition you're going to become then next Tyra Banks or Naomi Campbell or something. It takes time, but go to auditions. You never know! So it just depends on how much money you have and are willing to spend.

John Powers is a very popular place...however, they usually want you to pay money. The best advice given to anyone I know was to NEVER pay any money to be a model. If they really wanted you that bad and thought you could make money for them then they would foot the bill.

Good Luck.
