Or which would you rather do, be servile and very highly paid, or be free and work long arduous hours accumulating minimum wages? Or would you rather sacrifice your dignity and health to have that $250,000.00 house and the luxury car, have your children go to Harvard or Yale, or... be basically healthy and answer only to the landlord, & live in that trailer park on the edge of over there?
Granted there are many more options, but hey, this is a game here. Play it or not, as you will.

I would rather have less material things if I could have good health, happiness and love in my life.
I would rather be a slave, owned by a kind person who made sure I was fed well and warm at night, than to be a homeless person who has nothing, no one, and nowhere to call home.
I would imagine the slave has more self respect than the homeless because he has a purpose in life.

If I had money I might be able to free ten other people even though I remained a slave. I could purchase well-being and opportunity for my children.
I'm enough of an altruist that I might accept suffering to alleviate the suffering of many others. So yes. If you make the conditions lucrative enough, I'll do it.
Come to think of it, in many respects I ALREADY do. Peace.

A slave my not have his own opinion or choice of learning. his life can change at the whim of the master.
I was homeless once and I forged my life from that point.
I continually thank the people who helped me get on my feet and pursue my direction.
I have never been a slave, but I think it is good to choose.

I think if I had the choice to be free or a slave, it would be absurd to enter into slavery. Slavery might be easier in many ways, because it involves less existential choice, but it's not an authentic way to live. If i had no choice, that would be different. But of course, given the choice, I would have to choose.....well....choice =) Wouldn't we all?

die with dignity. or die much later being used as a slave to someone Else's whims. in the end we're still dead. I die for freedom, for no chain will shackle these hands. all or nothing, no oppression, no slavery, no support for a corrupt system.
when the game is fixed, the only solution is to stop playing their game.

either way, happiness is not guaranteed. you can move yourself up or down if you want it badly enough.
