Einstein married his university sweetheart, Mileva Maric, in 1903. In 1914, his wife and two sons vacationed in Switzerland that summer and, with the eruption of World War I, were unable to return to Berlin. A few years later this enforced separation was to lead to divorce. After divorce, in the summer of 1919, he married Elsa, the widowed daughter of his late father's cousin. He lived quietly with Elsa and her two daughters in Berlin.

He married Mileva Maric in 1903. They had three children: Lieserl, Hans Albert and Eduard. Einsteins were divorced in 1919. A few months later Albert married his cousin Elsa.

Interesting contrast with Maggie's view.
According to a BBC biography on Einstein, he was married and his wife bore a son. He then divorced and never remarried again. However, he was extremely close to a Swedish? research colleague of his during the nucleur phase of his research, but there seemed to be no record of them actually having been married, or ever living together.
For certain, she was not there when he died.

Yep, he did. He divorced his first wife and married another, too. So he had two wives.
