Why did Voldemort choose to go after Harry and not Neville? Why didn't he go after both to cover all possibilities? Did he know something we don't know yet and that made the choice clear for him?

I'm trying to come up with a Dolores Umbridge costume for this weekend's newest Potter book release. What I need is a list of as many words as possible that describe Umbridge and/or her costuming as described in the book.

I was hoping for some advice. I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter Books and am anxiously awaiting the final book. But I had read the previous books by getting them free out of the public library. I am really cheap and am pretty much broke. I wondering if I should sign up for a reservation and then wait for the other 116 people before me to finish and get it free, or just go out and buy it for $35 right away. I could prolly just sell it on ebay if I finish quick or something then, but I do want your advice. Thankyou.

I've never read it and I have always preferred more serious and less child like fantasy stories e.g. LOTR Yet many of my male acquaintances who are avid fantasy fans are into Harry Potter far less than many women I know who are not into the genre at all, just the Harry Potter books.

Dumbledore seemed to think that the prophecy concerning Harry and Voldemort didn't mean much for itself. That it was only fulfilled because Voldemort found out about it and, by becoming obcessed with it, determined it's fulfillment. But Professor Trelawney made that other prophecy in Prisoner of Azkaban (relating to the Dark Lord's servant escaping and joining his master) and it too was fulfilled (Pettigrew escaped and went to join Voldemort and that was vital for V's return). And nobody heard that prophecy except Harry. Doesn't it seem that when Trelawney makes prophecies without knowing she's making them they come true? Is there another explanation for this in the books that I don't remember? And if not, do you have a theory? Maybe Dumbledore was a bit stubborn about not believing Divination...

if all of reality is a self created illusion (I think therefore I am) then there would be no rules and I would have total power over my life. As it is, I am bound by laws and always surprised by something. I believe therefore, that there is something outside of myself that can controls things and something brought these illusions into my existence. I will call it God. So, nihilism is not a complete philosophy without a creator of this illusion (we) call reality. Therefore, if this creator exists then maybe he has the power to create others like me with their own perceptions of things. The problem with science is that it assumes everything it detects is real. Under nihilist pholosophy science cant prove anything is not an illusion because nothing can be varified to exist because the means of experimentation could be an illusion. What I'm trying to say basically is that Nihilism is not complete (or consistant) without a creator. What do you think?
