What length? 6' is really easy, 12' and 18' is rather more challenging.

By "swing" do you mean cracking or actually suspended?

Do you mean hanging on , suspended, from a bullwhip? It all depends on your grip. A longer bullwhip can give you more sway room, depending on your leverage point (The thing that the end of the whip is wrapped around).

I have swung on an 18' Argentinian Bullwhip, across a chasm, and have lived to tell the tale.

Quod Erat Demonstrandunum.

Yes you can swing from a bullwhip, but it will very likely damage your whip in the process. Just remember, you're putting all of your weight into a single strand of leather that's not really meant to hold up your weight.

The whips you see people swinging/hanging from usually have a fall meant to hold that much weight and/or have a core made of steel cable.

Sure, they're quite strong. The trick is getting it wrapped around tightly enough to hang from but still being able to shake it loose afterward. I've never been able to do it as easily as Indiana Jones. Guess it's just experience.
