I just re-read the 5th and 6th books, just to brush up on the details before the Hallows comes out. I couldn't believe how many details I had forgotten!! I would at least read the last two books again, if you have time! I would still start reading the 7th book with everyone else, so that no one spoils it for you! You could always re-read the series after the 7th if you have to!

I think that you should either:

A.) Skim through all of the books, taking short notes of what happens. It'll help you remember what has happened before you read the last one.

B.) Read these short summarys of what happens in each of the books

By the way, Mugglenet is a very reliable site and promises not to have any spoilers about Deathly Hallows!

If you want you can re-read the whole series, just stay off the internet and don't talk to anybody who has read book seven until you finish re-reading the series!

Good Luck!

I had this problem two--counldn't remember the last two books. I read the fifth one and I'm almost halfway through the sixth. I suggest you just go back and read the last two because they have a lot of information and forewarning that I'm sure will have a lot to do with the last book.

If you have recently re-read the other books you will get more out the the little points that the author puts in the plot.
If you don't have time to read all six before you want o read book seven then figure out how much time you have to read between now and then and figure out if you have time to read just book six - or to read book five ans six........

no because by the time you actually finish them all the 7th movie will probably be out, and then that would ruin the ending. what you should do is rent all the other movies.

yeah it's always i good idea to refresh yourself so that way you don't need to look back while reading and you don't get confused. Just go on spark notes that will definetly just bring everything back too you.
