I was hoping for some advice. I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter Books and am anxiously awaiting the final book. But I had read the previous books by getting them free out of the public library. I am really cheap and am pretty much broke. I wondering if I should sign up for a reservation and then wait for the other 116 people before me to finish and get it free, or just go out and buy it for $35 right away. I could prolly just sell it on ebay if I finish quick or something then, but I do want your advice. Thankyou.

Buy it online. You can get it for cheaper than $35 ( I think) on amazon.com. If there is 116 people before you waiting on it, then that's a long time of waiting.

Well, I see no reason for a person to go out and buy a book unless you have to. Don't worry, 116 people will go by in a snap. I'm in line at the library as well. You could try to see if they have the audiobook in order. I'm in line for that one as well. And never trust eBay. If you didn't buy the first 6 books, I see no obligation for you to buy it now...

P.S. At Barnes and Noble, the book is only $21 or $19 if you are a member.

Good Luck!

buy it at walmart its only $19 there but you really should rather than wait a year for it at the library lol. Because if each person has it for 2 weeks itll take a very long time for 116 people to go through it

I'd buy it. Some people take a long time to read it and by the time you get a chance to read it, someone might have already spoiled it for you. And you're right, you could always sell it on ebay...

i think you should go to a different library to check out the book. one that is in a smaller area, so that not as many people will be ahead of you to get it. im a big fan too, but i would save your money for more important things. you know that you will be able to read it, it just might just take a little longer thats all.

Get your name on the list at the library now! Then if you don't need to barrow the book later your name can be taken off the list. Meanwhile do you have a friend that will be getting the book - could you read theirs when they are done?

It always depends on how much you want it. I'm disgusted that I'm #1476 in line, but I'd be straight up devastated if I had to wait even until Saturday morning!

Just so you know, most stores (Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Barnes and Noble, Borders, Target, etc.) are selling it for under $25. I got mine for $26.14 and that was from a private store, which always marks up their prices. Chain stores are selling it VEEEERY cheap!

Happy reading!

Amazon, Barnes and Noble and all the other big retailers are selling it for considerably less than 35. Why don't you get it there sooner, so the ending isn't ruined, then sell it on eBay or at a UBS?

I would just buy it! Many stores have it at a discount.(Borders has it 40% off). And yes, if you don't want to keep it, you can sell it on E-Bay. Or better yet, keep it in the best condition you can, and sell it in a few years. =]
