How about this for a radical thought...?

MAYBE ... IF Politicians and aid-workers were to -
i) LISTEN to the security person on the ground...
ii) OBEY the advice of the security person on the ground without changing the goal posts AFTER an agreement has been made
iii) Indeed, maybe they should stay well away from the theatre of war until the Military and security forces have decided and stated a cease fire has been agreed upon to allow aid to go in?

Maybe they'd feel more secure when the guns are put down..

I was served with court papers recently due to a credit card debt that I have from a few years back. They are taking me to court in an attempt to garnish my paycheck for $$ owed (approx. $1000) If this were to happen, it would create a hardship for me whereas I would not have the $$ to fully pay my everyday household bills. I was thinking about contacting a lawyer to see if they could help me in trying to get this modified so that 10% of my pay would not be taken every week. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience in this area. Would contacting a lawyer be worth it, and do you think they'd be able to help me out? If I do nothing, they will definitely win a judgement against me, and the garnishments would begin. Another option I was considering was to contact the plaintiff to see if we could work out a payment arrangement with them instead of going to court. I'm just not sure if I can do that at this time since the papers have already been served.

I went to a party and got invited to a new year's party. When the husband saw the wife was inviting me, he eye-brows got frown and he immediately kept on walking from the place. I am not at all close to the wife. I got a very cold reception from the last new year's party at his place. That one was a pot-luck [and the organizer invited us]. Normally he himself talks with me if he sees me elsewhere. But he ignored me last couple of times when I went to his house. I missed one of his parties and I did not let him know. He was not happy. What should I do this time? I know I will see some of my other friends there. But it is just insulting to go to someone's place and get a cold reception.

me and my friends where having a little smoke session the other night , and one of the question that came up was why is there a temperature change during the winter? never payed too much attention in science class, so i was interested in findin out the reason behind it. Does it have anything to do with the position of the sun and the earth?

Okay I am doing this thing for work, and I need to have an area for the workers to choose yes or no for an additional charge. If they choose yes, I need the formula to calculate, and if they choose no then it is not supposed to calculate anything extra. Can anyone please help me??

I've been seeing a guy for 2 months. The first month was great - we saw each other a couple of times a week and had lots of fun. Then, he had a little freakout moment and wanted to "think things over" and "slow down", so we cut back to seeing each other once a week. He was stressed and overwhelmed with the holidays and dating someone for the first time in 3 years. (I know!) But kept calling me every couple of days.

We went to each other's company Christmas parties last week, but I haven't heard from him since Thursday. Not so much as a quick phone call or even a "Merry Christmas" text message. I'm so upset! What are guys thinking this time of year?

I'm afraid he'll call after the holidays and suggest we get together. It'll be hard for me to act like everything is okay. Should I hear him out, if/when he calls again? He hasn't said anything about New Year's and I already have other plans.
