Did you tell him in a creative and romantic way? I've been daydreaming about how I will finally tell him (we will start trying soon). I'm looking for ideas...

Ive been trying to get pregnant and was hoping to have it happen before Christmas...it didnt...BUT if it had I was going to take the "positive stick" and wrap it in a little box and hopefully when he opened it he would know what it meant!..LOL
OR another good idea would be to go buy a bib that says "I love Daddy" and put it in a box...

Good luck!

First time around I just flat out told my husband "we're going to have a hurricane baby" with the test in my hand. We got pregnant shortly after hurricane Katrina. Next time, I'd like it to be special, but my husband is not an easy one. He and I are going to start trying again soon and we are actually planning this one. This may sound silly, but do you ever remember watching that Full House episode when Rebecca had to tell Jesse that she was pregnant. She had a romantic dinner with baby carrots, baby corn, and baby back ribs. It was silly, I know..but it is one small idea. You could also take the test and then put the positive test in a box and gift wrap it with a bow. Have him open it and see his face. Good luck!

Well... I had so many ideas of how to do it.
Like get a bunch of pink and blue balloons and fill a room with it, maybe the room that will be the nursery...
Get a shirt that says number 1 daddy. Wrap the test stick up in a box and hand it to him....
I had so many but when I saw that line I ran into the bedroom and said, "I think we are pregnant"... He said WHAT? I said come here... I held his hand and we ran into the bathroom together and I showed him and asked, "Is that a line"... He said YEP! We hugged and we both cried. Then I started singing and dancing in the shower... I am pregnant, oh I am pregnant!
So you may have a great plan but it doesn't always work. You get so excited you can't hold it in. But you may... I couldn't.

The way I told my mom: I got some border for a baby girl and baby boy... Gave it to her and said which one should I use... She looked at me like I was nuts for usuing #1 border and said, "What room is this for?" hahhahaha Then she started screaming!!!! hahahaha It was the best!

Buy a baby doll. Put a big note in the box that says something like, "Start practicing, daddy". Wrap it and give it to him as a late holiday present.

I personally didn't have a romantic way, its hard to mix romance and having a child, really....but im sure it can be done. I have heard of the woman taking a piece of infant clothing and putting it in a basket or something and presenting it to him. Or you can think of a father/son/daughter gift to place out for him to find.

my first child was unplanned, we were married and in our senior year of grad school, I wore a sweatshirt under my grad gown that said, my babys mom just graduated college...my husband thought it was funny..my mother didnt. Our 2nd pregnancy was 15 years later, twins, I showed my husband the ultrasound with baby 1 and baby 2.....we thought we were done, I was 47 thought I was going thru menopause... my husband went to doctor with me because I thought I had a stomach tumor.....they did ultrasound I was 16 weeks pregnant with tripletts....not real romantic, but thats what happened to me...my husband is sitting here,, he says all were very romantic to him

I just told my hubby--I'm not creative like that.
But one of the teachers where I used to work sent her husband flowers and a card that said,
"Pink or blue, which will it be?
We'll have to wait till September to see."

He sent her a card back that said,
"Boy or girl, it doesn't matter.
I can't wait to hear the pitter patter."

Send him pink and blue flowers to work, with a note that simply states....I love you...then have pink and blue balloons all over the house when he gets home from work with a banner that says "gues what?"

OR..get wrap up an "i love my daddy" baby shirt and give it to him.....

write "hi Daddy" on your tummy...

simply whisper in his ear "we're going to have a baby"
