In former times studying a modern foreign language meant learning to read and write it and also speak it. A recent proposal in the UK is to offer a language qualification which does not require all three. In other words, you might be awarded the certificate on the basis of being able to speak the language, without being able to read or write it. Opinion is divided. Its a major pain getting them renewed $80 each plus time off work for BOTH parents and round trip travel to London. Can we just take the expired passports with us and travel on their valid British passports.

A guy falls asleep on the beach for several hours and gets a horrible sunburn. He goes to the hospital and is promptly admitted after being diagnosed with second degree burns. family treats me like I am invisible again even though I nearly died a month ago and I want them to care but no they will not for if they did they would have called me and seen how I was when I was in hospital etc.

I may go-- maybe in error --but want to not let them upset me like I usually do,..how can I anticipate and head off their hurtful behavior and no one giving a darn which is quite apparent to me or how can I let a tiny concern they might show for a second be enough and get out of their before I cry for the 8th Christmas in a row,,if I decided not to go, how could I not offend my sister and how could I get out of it. (that is a reasonable excuse)

At work I have a laptop which has Norton 360 security on it.

When I do manual scans this finds two problems

"Adware.WinTaskad" and "Adware.Windupdates"

Norton cannot - it seems - deal with these and it tells me that I need to take manual action. A clever person visited and apparently got rid of them and the computer seemed to run better. But now they seem to be back again.

Can anyone please tell me where they come from, what they do - if anything - how to get rid of them permanently and how to stop them recurring.

It goes without saying - I suppose - that I do not visit any sites that I would consider as dodgy. I use Firefox and mainly visit yahoo and hotmail for e-mail and google for the usual searches.

Answers [simply put please] as I am not 100% tecky!
