I think my neighbor is using pittbulls for fighting. I have no proof though. I have lived in my house for a little over a yr. and he has had three different ones. Yesterday his dog got out and i took it back to him and the dog was very sweet and playful with me and when we go to his dooer the dog seemed to be so scrared and wouldnt go to the owner. he doesnt seem like a very nice man. i felt bad for returning the dog but knew i had to. the dog looks healthy and there are not marks on her but it just seems like a strange situation. I know he doesnt do animal resue. Is there a way to find out or have him checked out. I am such a dog lover and hate to see them being hurt in anyway. I hope i am jsut over reacting.

During colonoscopy the doctor scraped his lining, which caused his colon to constrict & not allowing any gas to escape. Doctor never called after colonoscopy - we took him to ER two days after colonoscopy. He had to have surgery - they removed 2 parts of his colon (the back end had a small rupture due to build up of gas) . Will be wearing a bag for the next 3 months for his feces, and then have to go back in to get everything reattached. Do we have a case for medical malpractice? We're pretty upset - can't think too straight, but not happy with whole situation. He'll be in hospital for the holidays, had to cancel upcoming trips, and he'll need some major recuperation time before he feels okay.

My hair is naturally a medium brown, though when it lightens a bit in the summer it gets a bit more auburn. I have a very pale complexion, lots of freckles, and blue eyes. Several relatives have naturally red hair, and we have similar, but not identical facial colouring. Would it look super fake to dye my hair red even though I don't have a true red head complexion? It's certainly close, but not quite.

I just read in the paper that a close friend was fired yesterday . . . a week before Christmas. I know they are a little strapped for money so I am sure this is a stressful time for them. I would like to send money to them but I am concerned with stepping on anyone's toes. I'm younger and I have the upmost respect for them. Can you please help with the a letter saying that I hope this helps with their mortgage and other neccessary expenses. I'm planning to send $5000. Do I send it to the wife and not the husband? Men can be funny about that type of thing. I don't want to hurt his pride, like it hasn't been hurt enough. I just want to say that I think the world of them and I wanted to ease some of the burden during this difficult time. I want them to know that no one else needs to know about this and they never have to worry about repaying me. I feel sick to my stomach that this has happened to such amazing people. Please help with putting this on paper!

Last night, my family and I were looking at Christmas lights. As we approached a corner, I saw a man on the ground, in the mud with a bike. He was hit by a car and was there for around 15 minutes and no one stopped. Even after we stopped, cars went by, some slowed and looked but kept going. It was a fairly busy corner. One other car stopped about 5 minutes after we did. The good news is that he wasn't hurt too badly, probably a broken leg but no head injuries or anything life threatening. It's just sad that he was laying there alone and hurt. Whoever hit him didn't care if he lived or died.

Where is the Christmas spirit, the Holiday cheer and good will towards man?

A lot of Atheists I know just talk about how they're not Christian and they don't believe in God. Atheist means that you don't believe in ANYTHING. Their are other religions out there, so why do they just talk about not believing in Christianity?

By the way, I'm not making a generalization. I'm just talking about the people I know.

This is a continuation of a series of questions/updates. See my profile for more info.

I'm happy to report that Spider was back at the barn last night when I went to class. As suspected, she had been hiding in another building on the property. She's doing just fine -- in fact, she's plumper (somebody's been feeding her!). We plan to have her spayed after the first of the year, since she was intent on not showing up for her last appointment.

My question today is -- is there any way to make a cat realize that a particular building, regardless of whether or not there are people there, is "hers"? The ranch owners want her in our building to help control the rodent population.
