My hair is naturally a medium brown, though when it lightens a bit in the summer it gets a bit more auburn. I have a very pale complexion, lots of freckles, and blue eyes. Several relatives have naturally red hair, and we have similar, but not identical facial colouring. Would it look super fake to dye my hair red even though I don't have a true red head complexion? It's certainly close, but not quite.

yeah you'd look good with red hair just don't go too extreme with the shade

If you go for a deep red Highlight first it will compliment your brown to auburn hair wonderfully. Brown hair already has a red tint to it so it is a natural highlight. I would not go for the orangie red type just the dark dramatic deep red. Highlights are also a great way to just get a sample of the color without comitting to the whole job. Also use a professional!!!!!! As with any hair color the pro is in the know! My wife has this same color and she pays top dollar for the best colorist. She is one who helped me answer this question!!!

Sounds like you'd look finewith a pretty shade of red. I'm a believer in sticking close to nature's palette when it comes to color. With your complexion and blue eyes, you should look very natural.

Since you already have a reddish tint in your hair your skin tone will most likely be fine. Freckled skin usually looks good with red hair too.

Be Brave! Remember if you hate it you can dye it back to brown!

It depends on the shade of red. I have naturally blond hair and dyed it red for a while. I would have it done at a salon, they will know what tone to use, and some salons have to correct it for free if you don't like the color it turns out.

Red hair would defiantly suit you if you have pale skin and freckles! I reckon it would also make your blue eyes stand out more too. If your scared of trying it go with a semi-permanent hair colour so you can easily get rid of it if you hate it

It would probably look ok if you go get it professinaly done, and try adding highlights and low lights, to help it look natural. It will look good with you complexion if your fair skined with a hint of a pink tone and freckles and blue eyes.

Nothing wrong with dying it red. I have dark brown hair with red highlights and sometimes I dye it red. You do have to be careful and get the right shade for your skin tone and current hair color.

Yes...if you choose a good shade. I'd recommend dying it slowly, redder and redder each time. Since you have pale complexion and freckles, red hair won't look bad.

i am a natural red head, and it sounds like you would look great with red hair, but personally, i would just go with highlights. It will give the appearance of red hair, without over doing it.just remember, red hair fades fast, so dont expect it to look great.
