Do you think being away from R&S for 2 weeks will get the report trolls off my trail?

I'll have not access to the net for the next couple weeks, so I'm hoping they will forget about me. They are sinking even lower - they reported my attempt to wish a fellow R&S regular a happy birthday (posted yesterday).

Love your use of the word "troll". Indeed, the only real trolls are those who censor speech (report people).

As long as there's troubled water, and ppl
wanting help to get into such troubled water,
(like the impotent man in Jn 5:7... Acts 4:9),
there will also be trolls troubling the water.

While away, rent the 1998 Merlin Movie,
one starring Sam O'Neil as Merlin, see
the real magic is at the end of the shew.

Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.

Ah, well, there will always be people on R&S that are wimpishly sensitive and quick to hit the "Report It" button. It would be interesting to look into their brains to see if there is any gray matter there. Appealing is futile (I've tried twice; now I just delete the e-mail from YA that informs me of a "violation." I think Yahoo Answers is staffed with ghosts). I don't get mad anymore; I just get even. LOL.

I enjoy coming here, but I think some folks take it a WEE BIT too seriously. I had a guy say he was going to report me for answering a question with a question, and I really don't get the "chatting" violation--why would anybody care to report that? If you're not interested in the question, click the back button and move on!

I hope that you have better luck in the new year. ; )

heading off trolls in R&S is like attempting to run devoid of being in oxygen. it rather isn't any longer available: no rely how respectful you're making issues, trolls will pop up. From all components of the argument. My suggestion is to the two block them or flat out forget approximately them.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to change the behavior of those with under-functioning anterior cingulate cortices. Also, trolls usually have too much free time and can't stand other people to live their lives based on facts and empirical evidence instead of ancient texts of questionable origin. Pragmatism and superstition make for a bad combination.

I think a little break from R&S will do you some good - the trolls might lose your scent.
Thanks for the well intentioned birthday wishes :) and enjoy your time off!

aren't trolls the ones who turn into stone in the daylight?

my new strategy is going to be to keep shining truth and sunshine up their butts.

and here's the irony... i asked a question to get an honest response out of a troll, said troll answered the question, and then the question disappeared... i was going to give the frakking troll ten points out of good sportsmanship. he reported his opportunity to strike a respectful detente.

i suspect that he doesn't want to know that i don't hate him.

I left for six months. Didn't help, still got reported out of existence. Develop a few accounts, all the same, and for all of them, don't allow e-mail, no link to 360, no fans, nothing. Block everything.
