I was wondering if I could maybe use the clorox bleach pen to put streaks in my hair? has anyone tried it?

thanks to all that responded. I did try a highliting kit about a week ago, left it on for 40 minutes, but the streaks are only a shade or two lighter than my regular color (I've got light/medium brown hair). and (sigh) I live in a rural area, so we don't have Sally beauty supply (although I guess I could ask one of my friends back home in Milwaukee....?). maybe I did something wrong with the highlighter kit?

well, one of my buddies tried this, and let me tell ya...
it worked. it worked really well at bleaching his hair lighter.
however, a few days later, his hair started falling out in clumps.
so i wouldn't recommend using household bleach to lighten your hair.
i would really suggest that you go to a professional, but i understand that this is often a bit pricy, so at the very least purchase a bleaching kit or bleach that was specifically labeled for bleaching hair.
good luck!! :]

No way! Go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy a $5 highlighting kit, if you're not going to a salon.

Please dont!!!! Store bought peroxide would work a little better. But you would have to leave it on for a LONG time. If you can go to a beauty supply store and buy a bottle of professional peroxide. You might try that. usually it is not very expensive. We have a lot of sally' supplies in Chicago!

NO! it will destoy you hair. You can however use a small amount of hydrogen preoxide, mixed with water, or a lemon, squeeze the juice on your hair and blow dry.
