This may sound so unrelated and so unexpected for me to bring up. But for all of you, when you dream, do you not ever dream the most outragous things which you would never believe in in real life, yet in your dream it appears fairly logical. Is this maybe the fact that you're not bound to earth-like things e.g time, gravity etc because of the fact that your body is at a state of rest.

So let me relate this to the afterlife. We can only undertand things in relation to the world we have been raised in. we grew up and live in a world with certain entities eg time, and when we hear of the afterlife, much of these boundaries do not exist, so to relate what we know and understand to something which we have never experienced is just illogical.

Anyone welcome to argue or agree, just don't be racist about it.

some time ago i found something in my teenage son's room, when i was cleaning it up....it was a photo of me, that he had obviousely taken sectretly while i was changing in my room and the door was a little open. it showed me from behind, bending over, in only a thong (and a t-shirt)....and recently i even found one of my own (worn!) thongs besides his bed. i know he has lots of pictures on his PC, mainly of women's behinds in thongs. he obviously has a thong-fetish....but with all the pics from the internet, why does he get turned on by MY butt? is his brain turning off, as soon as he sees a female butt in a thong?

i know that teenage boys can be very much influenced and controlled by their hormones. so i decided that i won’t talk to him about it, cause that would embarrass him too much and be just terrible for him.

So I recently asked a question about why younger girls tend to go for older guys and most of the answers were "girls mature faster than guys so they go for older guys."

Understandable, but then does that mean that girls are attracted to maturity? With all of the girls that go for "players" and "bad boys," people obviously just out there for sex and not a mature relationship, it doesn't seem like girls are attracted to maturity....

But then again, I don't know a ton about girls, so I could be very wrong. But let me know what you think!

I live in my basement. But my heating room is in my basement but in another room with a wall and the door. It is a pretty small room. Is it bad that I stored a lot of things in the room like boxes and clothes and stuff? Does it have a large chance of a fire starting or the room blowing up because its so packed with stuff and the heating room is mixed with boxes and stuff? Also the storage is seperate from the heater and all the heating equiptment. So is it fine or is it still bad that its in there even though everything is seperated and not touching the heating tank and that stuff?

I have the worst toothache ever!! it hurts so bad!! Ive tried everything tylenol, salt water rinses, orajel, nothing works!!

I have some old film left over from school. It is the type that cannot be developed at Walmart or any other store like that (it is not the C-41 type). Would it be cheaper to buy the chemicals myself (and buy some more film just to use it all up) or to take it to a professional to get it developed? I don't want to waste it because it is nice film and I have had some good results with it.

If it is cheaper to buy it, what type of developing fluid do I need? I already have the film canister, but I will need to buy the film opener and bag (which I assume is pretty cheap). It has been over a year since I developed my own film, so I forgot exactly what I need.

I try to be a good person. I volunteer to tutor disadvantaged kids. I try to treat my neighbors with respect. I stay politically active and engaged. I'm not expecting a gold star or anything, and I've certainly made mistakes, but I like to think I've made a few positive contribution to the world.

But I'm an atheist. I realize that according to most of you I'm going to hell, because I don't believe Jesus Christ is my personal savior. I can live with you thinking that. But does that also mean the good works I've done are somehow invalidated?

Is it impossible for an atheist (or a Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, or Hindu) to do anything good by definition? I get that sense from you guys sometimes that you think that.
