These are the most requested cookies by my family and co-workers. They are "no bake", delicious and easy and have both oatmeal and peanut butter.

1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup milk
3 cups rolled oats (the 1 minute kind)
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla

Put 1st 4 ingredients in a medium sized sauce-pan on medium heat. Stir often, bring to boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat.

Add the last 3 ingredients. Stir until blended.

Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool

YUM!!

There's an interesting no-bake oatmeal cookie recipe you can do. Mix 16 large marshmellows with a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, one tablespoon of butter and heat over a low temp, stirring constantly. Then add one cup of oatmeal to the mix and a dash of vanilla. That's the only recipe I have that I couldn't find at allrecipe.com

I just made some of these today! Here's a recipe that my mom has been making for many many years. These cookies come out soft and chewy....

Tweety’s Famous Oatmeal Cookies

1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups non-instant oats (old fashioned, rolled,etc)
1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter, add sugars, then eggs. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt & cinnamon. Add dry ingredients to the creamed butter mixture. Add oats and vanilla.
Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350

Do not over bake, remove from cookie sheet immediately after taking out of oven. Makes approx 5 doz…more if you use teaspoonful of dough per cookie

Note: you can add choc chips, 1 cup of coconut, 1 cup chopped nuts, 1 cup raisins, or 1 cup cornflakes for a different taste.

ok, so i used the oatmeal cookie recipe off the top of a Quaker oats container, very basic recipe.

instead of the raisins i zested an orange and squeezed a little of the juice in and added craisens, Cinnamon cloves, (what ever spices are in the cookie already. but these things were a hit! i made them for my boyfriend, and i got into trouble for giving some away.
