hi
On the front of my tv it says hdmi but i am not sure if this means my tv is hd.It has cable inputs on the back that say something like y/pb1/pr1 .

i looked it up and it says its 852x480,so i guess its not hd

Connectors can't tell you if the TV is HD.
Find the Product model from the label in the back and then search for the TV specs. Or if you have the manual, look for the TV's native resolution. If it can display more than 720 lines (say 1366x736 or 1280x720 ) is HD.

hard to say, it is likely but usually they like to brag by making it obvious, they sell at higher prices if they say HDTV on the front. if it is an hdtv it will probably say on it somewhere. look your model number up online.

If it has an HDMI input, it has to be HD.
