I live in my basement. But my heating room is in my basement but in another room with a wall and the door. It is a pretty small room. Is it bad that I stored a lot of things in the room like boxes and clothes and stuff? Does it have a large chance of a fire starting or the room blowing up because its so packed with stuff and the heating room is mixed with boxes and stuff? Also the storage is seperate from the heater and all the heating equiptment. So is it fine or is it still bad that its in there even though everything is seperated and not touching the heating tank and that stuff?

Your question rambles a bit, and is not completely clear. However, if it were up to me, I wouldn't use my furnace room as a storage room. The chance of fire is so much greater when combustables are stored with anything that is creating heat!

As long as everything is a few feet away from the heater it should be fine.

IT SHOULD BE O.K. AS LONG AS WHATS STORED ISNT EXPLOSIVE IN NATURE. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD CHECK WITH A FIRE DEPT . WALK IN AND TELL THEM YOUR SITUATION==== AND GET SOME INPUT. ITS NICE YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY.
