Well, first I have to say that I have a tough time calling many of these people refugees. After 60 years and 2 generations your not a refugee anymore, your a person living somewhere else.
I think these two quotes sum it up well.

I thought his character was fascinating, but come on! He got busted by the service for smoking weed at age 60+? A little far-fetched and unimaginative. I wanted to see him and Nora hook up. I had a disagreement with my roommate about that which can't kill me can only make me stronger. He seemed to hold it as being absolutely true, but then I was able to argue him to my point of view which was that it isn't ALWAYS true. But then one of my dorm mates came in and held it to be absolutely true and I wasn't able to disprove his position because I couldn't find any counter examples he couldn't justify away. I argued that an individual can come away weaker from a negative experience and that that disproves the statement being absolutely true, but he argued that because it's a matter of perception and that it's an individual's own choice of whether or not to become stronger from an experience. I still want to win this argument so I need help.

I have an old sketch made about 10 years ago. There isn't much shading but there are area's where the dirty paper from aging and wear really shows from my scanner. I scanned in top quality which shows the defects of the paper really well. How can I remove this so it looks like it's on a clean piece of paper?

The population of this country is 237 million. 104 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school, which leave 48 million to do the work. Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government. And since we KNOW they don't do a d***** thing, this leaves 19 million to do the work.

Four million are in the Armed Forces (i.e. let's soak up more tax dollars while we play "Doom"), which leaves 15 million to do the work.

Take from the total the 14,800,000 people who work for State and City Government and that leaves 200,000 to do the work.

There are 188,000 in hospitals, so that leaves 12,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 11,998 people in Prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work.

You and me.

I have a SmartHome Console that I use to control Christmas lights. I bought three new indoor remotes this year on Amazon. None of them work, despite the instructions saying they're compatible. One rattles, so I'm pretty sure it's literally broken, but the other two won't work either. I know it's not the console I have because it's working with my outdoor lights perfectly.

Are there any known incompatibilities or do I just have a bum batch?
