Technaxx digitalcams and camcorders?

I am more than likely purchasing a Technaxx X16. I was just wondering if anyone has had one or had any experience with one?
Good quality?
Sturdy?
Easy to use?

Does it accept all savecards? It currents has 216MB or so and I would like to change the card to a 2GB card.

Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax are all long-time camera manufacturers. Why would you consider anything else?
