Wikipedia has some excellent info, but doesn't cover some details I need, such as this one. Could I get a layman's answer, since physics principles are a bit over my head?

Hello,
I have an 11.5 year old male (LH mancoon)cat that became sick Thursday. We took him to the vet Friday. They told us it would cost $500-$1000 to have tests ran to see what could be wrong with him. We can't afford it with a 2 year old to feed as 1st priority.
We paid $200. to have him injected with fluids under his skin and they sent us home with clovomax (sp?). they told us to monitor him and bring him back Monday if he hasn't improved. He has been throwing up since yesterdaym it is yellow stomach bile. His pee is orange and thick. He seems in better spirits today but I think it is just because he is slightly more hydrated. What could be causing this? What tests are necessary to resolve this? Are there some that can be eliminated to help us with cost?
Is there anything I can do for him at home to help keep him nourished? I have tried giving him food/water but he vomits it back up.

Please help, we LOVE our cat and can't stand to see him like this.

Thanks,
Chrissy

I work for Mervyns in San Jose, however, later on today I'm going to quit (as in quit today, no 2 weeks notice.) I was wondering if anyone knows when I'll be getting all my money from them. Do they give me my final paycheck on the spot? In the mail? Do I have to come back on their next scheduled payday?

Thanks in advance.

How is Israel always morally just, I would assume that the Arab governments probably fear Israel's nuclear program and how much leverage Israel holds over the Palestinians, not to mention the illegal settlement issue, and how Israel has just recently cut power to Gaza making it almost impossible for Gazans to live their daily lives! Does anyone care about the Palestinian people? If so, who? Not even the Arab states truely care about the Palestinians, they seem to be using the Palestinians for their own benefits! And the fact that Israel holds about 10,000 Palestinian prisoners currently!

I can't believe the number of times I have heard women brag about their husbands or boyfriends getting angry with them because they are so jealous. They seem to think that if their husbands accuse them of being in the restroom too long it's because of some torrid rendezvous --and that just means he loves you!
I just see it as insecurity on both ends. The guy is so insecure about himself that he takes it out on the wife and the wife is so insecure she thinks she has to put up with it.
I can fully understand when a man defends a woman's honor. That's different. If another guy is hitting on your wife or treating her disrespectfully then he needs to be set straight, but when a woman is constantly being accused of looking at another man or questioned about whether they really went to the store or not, how does that say LOVE?
All I see is a lack of trust and respect.

I don't mean to suggest it's only men who are this way, I know women can be just as guilty.

...because we have them where I live and they think they can do whatever they want. They harass the people on our street and think they can arrest anyone they want.
For example: My cousin Beto was walking to my house with two of his friends yesterday and two Guardian Angels stopped them and asked what they were doing and if they lived in the neighborhood. My cousin told them it was none of their business and kept walking. I guess the man got mad cuz he grabbed Betos shirt and yanked him to the ground. His friends tried to stop them from fighting but the other Guardian Angel started fighting with them too. They ended up handcuffing my cousin and his friend. Paul, the other boy there, ran to my house and called the REAL cops. They came out and got all this information from my cousin and the GA's. What makes me mad is that the GA's were not punished. It WAS none of their business what my cousin was doing. Do you think its right for people who aren't Cops to go around arresting people?

She has been telling me she wants to change her name for a few months now. She wants to change it to something completely different. I think this might harm her emotionally since she's had this name for eight years, but I've always hated my name and wished I could change it since I was very young. I plan to change her last name to mine, anyway (her father has been out of our lives for a long time). Is this a bad idea?

I've always wanted to get this particular tattoo, but I keep chickening out... Well, I turned 50 this year and my son almost has me talked into it, but I told him I'd have to ask you guys...

I want to get a tattoo of John Lennon's glasses...my son's an artist; he's drawn up a really cool depiction and he already has a very reputable tattoo artist lined up...should I do it?

P.S. Just in case you need to know...I'm female.

If so...where should it go?

Im sick of hearing people rant on and on why the war is bad and why we need to bring our troops home. Im sick of hearing that our troops are killing innocent people and laughing about it. I think the only people who have to right to oppose the war or troops even are the soliders themselve. The ones that have been over there and seen what the enemy is capable of first hand. Us sitting here in our safe houses dont really know what its like over there...so I ask
Does anyone out there support the troops?
Does anyone out there support the war?
Does anyone out there not hate Bush?

I know OSU is going to be in the BCS title game, but why in the hell is LSU there and not VT? Both teams won their respective confrences but VT was ranked higher in the BCS, played a higher ranked team(BC was 11th, Tenn. was 14th), and matched LSU's record(both were 11-2). Yes, VT lost 48-7 to LSU in week 2, but with the way the current BCS system seems to work they reward play closer to the end of the season. So someone please explain to me why LSU is playing for the title even after losing to an unranked Arkansas team, when the 2 games VT lost both teams were ranked 2nd in the nation.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. Does Kansas have a right to be in the Orange Bowl when Mizzou was not only ranked higher, they beat Kansas last week....

God I LOVE the BCS....dont you?
