Adam, God made out of dust,
But thought it best to make me first.
So I was made before man,
To answer GOD's most holy plan.
A living being I became,
And Adam gave to me my name.
I from his presence then withdrew,
And more of Adam never knew.
I did my maker's law obey,
Now never went from it astray.
Thousands of miles I go in fear,
But seldom on earth appear.
For a purpose that GOD did see,
He put a living soul in me.
A soul from me GOD did claim,
And took the soul from me again.
So when from me the soul that fled,
I was the same as when first made.
And without hands, or feet, or soul,
I travel on from pole to pole.
I labor on by day and night,
To fallen man, I am a great sight.
Thousands of people young and old,
Will by my death great light behold.
No right or wrong can I conceive,
The Scripture I cannot believe.
Although my name therein is found,
They are to me an empty sound.

No fear of death doth trouble me,
Real happiness I'll never see.
To heaven I shall never go,
Nor, to hell below.

Now when these lines you slowly read,
Go search your Bible with all speed.
For my name is written there,
I do honestly declare.

Please try to solve this simple little puzzle. This answer is one word, found only 4 times in the Bible. Search hard and you are surely to find much more than the word.........And when you find it you will say, "It's so simple........."

"Jehovah" appears only four times in the King James Version at

Exodus 6:3, Psalms 83:18, Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah 26:4.

The sad thing is that the same word in Hebrew appears more than 6000 times in the original manuscripts, but translators chose to hide his personal name under the title "God" or "Lord".

It's going to vary depending on what translation you use. I dug out my exhaustive Strong's concordance to check. There are going to be a number of answers, but, using the King James Version, the most interesting word appearing four times is "Jehovah".

I don't know.
What is the shortest verse in the Bible?

Actually, unless you have done a word study using the Greek and Hebrew, finding out which words they used in the place of your "one word 4 times" you may not be standing on solid ground and may need to modify your question to specify in which language it is found only 4 times.

For instance the word Love in (I think it's Latin?) may be "phileo" or "eros" or "agape" Then your count may be off, if you are looking at the word love, sense each word has a somewhat different meaning.

Actually I don't know what I'm talking about but there is something right about it, Don't you think?

"Jesus wept."
