Ok so I am fairly young & I was wondering about girls shaving "down there"? Do very many young people do it? Is it normal? Should I wax or shave? Everything or not? I dont know for sure anyone who does do it ... so any information... just anything will help *blush*

Thanks

I wonder this too. I think a lot don't based on what I've heard (and the pubic hairs I see often on bathroom floors, lol), but I'm sure many do shave it all. But most people don't see your hair so do whatever makes you happy.

I don't shave...sometimes I shave the edges but the main part I leave. I think shaving sounds like too much effort and would look weird. No guy has had a problem with this so far. Nobody else sees it. Except if you wear swimmers and then you can just do a bikini line. Waxing might be better for that, but if you do it yourself be careful.

If you don't have a problem with your hair you could try shaving it once and see how it goes. As long as the hair is neat then both ways are acceptable and a decent guy wouldn't mind either way - and if he did have a preference he could tell you not dump you for it.

If you want to feel pain...then wax. Other wise shaving works too, you just have to do it more often...I have been shaving for a long time. Experiment with it, I did...and its fun :) but yeah just try different things out. I used to shave everything but a "landing strip" (a thing strip from the top of the lips up like an inch or so) and that was nice, then I got lazy and didn't want to try to make it even every time and just started shaving it all. It does make a lot of women feel cleaner and ever guy I have come across thinks its cleaner and more attractive as well.

It's really a matter of personal preference. I like to be almost completely hairless. I started shaving it about twelve years ago and have tried leaving differing amounts of hair there. I don't like it. Waxing is best, since it gives you the smoothest results and lasts longest, but you must have it professionally done, so that means you can't be very modest. Epilating at home is something else I've tried and it's very painful and time-consuming, although the results are the same as waxing, finally. If you do decide you want to be free of hair there, whichever method you choose, be sure to exfoliate regularly to prevent ingrown hairs, which are not only painful, but ugly, too.

In the summer I trim off any hair that sticks out of my bathing suit, but that's all. My husband says he doesn't want to have sex with a little girl, and I don't want to BE a little girl -- I enjoy being an adult! And I've never noticed any other woman who was hairless down there, but I don't see that many of my friends naked. Still, I think it's just a very few women who do this.

I began shaping the hair down there up with a razor when I was 12, and I started shaving completely when i was 14. It just makes me feel cleaner, and i began my sexual experiences when i was 15 and I felt really good about everything I didnt' have to be self conscious anything. Its a presonal choice but I love it.

I have been shaving since around 15. While having sex or even just "fooling around" it makes me feel better. I think even if you don't shave completely it's a good idea to trim.

Way too many girls & women "do it". It's NOT normal. DON'T wax or shave. Just leave the hair on your vulva alone! It wasn't meant to be trimmed or adjusted. It's healthiest the natural way you are given it ! ........ And you're welcome.
