You're right. Jealousy is not a sign of love. It's a sign of insecurity, and often a sign that the jealous person believes they 'own' their partner. Jealous men, in particular, can be very dangerous. Give me a nice, secure guy any day!

My bf is the jealous type but in the manner of other men trying to talk to me or if there are guys being disrespectful. The other jealousy where the guy's accusing his girl of being with other men etc...that's just plain insecurity and honestly I think that's something that's a MAJOR RED FLAG. That doesn't mean it's because they are totally IN LOVE, they do it because they have no self-esteem and this is nothing to brag about..lol So every time a girl brags about her man being that way, she's really just screaming "I'm with an insecure, low self-esteemed moron."

I agree, insecurity. Also, selfishness in the sense that the woman should never find anyone else attractive, meaning that he is lacking something. Well, back down to being insecure again. NOT true love.

Nope!
It will only means that he is more possessive and lack of trust.
To jealous has nothing to give any positive advantage but only to ruin the relationship.
People who normally jealous are possessive, immatured and selfish. The best a person can do to show their love to someone is to understand and respect their loved one with full trust without question.

No, a man's jealousy is a sign of insecurity and low self esteem. I think you are correct, a woman who puts up with this has the same problem. I guess it a good match.

i think it would depend on the degree of jealousy and frequency...a little amount of jealousy would point to a guy caring about you and wanting you to only want him...but i do agree with you when too much jealousy can point to him as being insecure and distrustful, which isnt healthy for the relationship...but i do want my man to be jealous once in a while (for instances when another guy is checking me out)...he wouldn't feel slighted if he didnt love me and care for me...

I don't think its out of love that they're jealous - because if you really loved someone, you'd be very secure about your spouse and yourself. Jealousy to me isn't love, its obsession possession.

jealous people have trust issues, lack self-confidence and are likely needy and anxiety ridden.
it has to be an uncomfortable way to live!
