The Unity High School in Sudan came to public attention when one of its teachers, Gillian Gibbons was arrested by Sudanese authorities for allegedly insulting Islam by naming a teddy bear, "Muhammad".

Islam traditionally condemns any depictions of Muhammad, who Muslims regard as the last messenger and prophet of God. The teddy bear was named Muhammad by a vote of the class Gibbons was teaching.

The bear was named Muhammad after one of the boys in the class who had that name.

Isnt the reaction just over the top? She could recieve 40 lashes! It is ridiculious!

i have one ? about racing id like to get into the legends racing there cool cars.the one thing i have to ask is how do these people when they get into racing get the legends car thats 8 or even 9 grand i know they have possibly kids and a house to take care of.i just do understand how they do it.

If you could choose any entertainer to do a recording with the late great Hank Williams who would you choose and why. I would sure like to hear Hank & Lefty, Hank & Merle, Hank & George Jones. Oh if we could only do that wouldn't it be nice.

Hi all. (im on my sisters account lol)
Okay so about 10 years ago i had my first "bf" i wouldnt even call it that lol. we knew eachother for a little while and lost our virginities to eachother. we never really dated just sortof hooked up i guess. Okay so anyways, i moved to nyc about 1 year ago, and i ran into his best friend. (they were friends throughout highschool so this is how i knew him). He lives two floors above me, and have been really great friends since we met. anyways, we are both intrested in becoming more than friends. the thing is is hes still bf with my "ex" from highschool. Do you think thats a problem? (my ex is married and has a family now but...) would that be weird for them? Just wondering....

I've looked at numerous places on the web to try and find other lesbians that are within 20 years of my age - either direction. Amazingly, they're CLUELESS. They all suggest Eureka Springs, AR. That's less than a 45 minute drive from where I live. BUT THERE ISN'T A SINGLE PERSON THERE!!!!! I find only lesbians over 50 who all have kids, husbands, diseases, alcholism, drug abuse, and a trailer trash lifestyle. It would be really nice to find lesbians closer to my age, and possibly to my career and lifestyle. So, where is everyone? Am I the only lesbian under 50? It sure seems like it.

I was just curious because I was reading several responses at the Knot ripping a girl to shreds for wanting to have a dessert reception at 8pm and everyone was telling her that people expect to be fed a full meal at a wedding no matter what time it is, morning, afternoon, or evening, even if they would never do so any other day of the year.

Personally that didn't make sense to me and I have never seen it done. I can understand a full meal at a regular meal time but not at the in-between or after-dinner times.

She says they need time to talk about "girl stuff." I figure that time would be best spent shopping, or lunch, or coffee or whatever. My gf thinks im controlling. But when she goes to rhode island for the weekend with her friend to a wedding, the two of them go out to a bar with a bunch of guys after, and bring them back to the hotel bar after. Then she doesnt answer her phone. One guy called her one night from one of her "girls nites," and she said it was an old friend she ran into. She said he used to hang around with her girlfriends a while ago. I catch her in lies all the time. And she says "My friends say I lie because i have to, because you are too controlling." I think I don't like "girls nite" at bars, because besides the above, she has a drinking problem, where she can't even walk when she leaves the bar. Who the hell knows. Am i controlling? And if so, should i not be? Should i dump her?

hi, as i am the only earner in my home me and my partner applied for council tax benefit and rent benefit and was granted it a few months back. one month i had to do three courses for work and was paid overtime for this . they have now stopped my benefit as they say i earn too much. ( they used that payslip to calculate my earnings) i have had a written letter from my employer stating that i was paid extra this particular month and it was not my wage normally. i also took down statements and payslips showing that since that month my pay had returned to its original low amount. they looked at out claim again and still said that the letter proved nothing and was a business expense that i had to meet.( made no sense to me either) we have now appealed but havent any reply for a month. any advice ? i'm not entitled to working tax credit as i'm 23 and have no kids. they also failed to note that since then my rent has increased.. grrrrrrrrr

My friend's 13-yr-old and her friend were in the school bathroom with Pixie Stix candy pretending to snort it like cocaine. It was stupid and childish, but....well, she's a child! Two other girls went in the bathroom and saw them and went to the office and told on them. The school suspended her for 3 days. I can see a detention or something, but I think that is ridiculous. i'm 23, i'm starting driving school next week but whenever i've tried learning before I get behind the wheel and all my confidence goes out the window. I just seem to fixate on the fact that once I have my liscense i'll always have my daughter in the car with me and I start to worry about what if something happens. I'm just looking for any tips to relax while driving and any other tips not related to the mental aspect of driving. All I really know is, the gas, break, heat and radio....please help, after all you may end up on the same road as me one day so it would benifit both of us......
