I was born in 1921. I traded some animals for my first guitar. When I was 15 I won my first talent contest. I had a number one hit that I didn't live long enough to see it hit the charts or enjoy the successes of it. I was married to a female singer who still performs. I have not been elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame and I may never as some of the greats other than myself have been passed over.

Ok last year was the first year we claimed our daughter. I have made a little bit more this year than last due to a raise. My husband quit his job Oct. 2006 and got a new job Feb. 2007 and got fired from that job Nov. 2007. He made less money at that job. My question is should we be expecting the same amount we got last year or more? Do you basically get the same amount a year when you claim a kid? Thanks

I just read a post in which a woman with bipolar disorder asked if she should have a child. I know that I'm going to draw a lot of criticism for posting this, but read the rest of this post. First of all, let me say that I have firsthand experience with mental illness. I have depression, anxiety, and ADHD, all of which have genetic components. Because of the fact that these disorders are often hereditary, I have seriously questioned whether it's a good idea to risk having a child who would have those issues. I can't help but think that if someone knows that he/she has a hereditary mental illness, he/she should seriously consider whether it's a good idea to risk having a child who will suffer the way that he/she has suffered. Of course, just because a parent has an illness like depression or bipolar disorder doesn't mean that the child will necessarily have it, but the risk IS there! Many people focus on their desire to have children rather than the possible issues their children would

I know there's going to be a lot of turmoil caused by this question, but I guess I kind of have to ask it anyway.

In the bible, is there anything that tells Christians not to judge others? Where does it say this (please quote)? Now explain why it is that there is so much judgment toward atheists/pagans, etc. on this website?

Do you feel it is YOUR job and not the job of your God to judge these people?

Also, when you are questioned about what you would do if you were wrong, why is it that most of you answer with a question and not an answer? Do you believe yourselves to be all knowing? Wasn't/Isn't that Jesus' job? Why is it okay not to educate others and yourselves through debate and discussion rather than just ignoring the actual question so you can sound holier than others? How is this creating more followers of Christ? Don't you think it's doing more harm than good to be so closed minded?

I mean no harm, these are just questions I'm curious about.

Ever since I dislocated my Knee 2 years ago everytime it is cold or going to rain I get a ache in my knee. My boyfriend has told me to mention it to my doctor and he may send me off for a MRI scan. But I was wondering if anybody has had the same effect at all after this has happened to them.

I'm a martial artist and fighting yesterday I tore my groin completely, I'll be unable to walk properly for a fortnight and won't recover completely for nearly four months. Is there anything I can do to ease the pain and HOW do I survive being rooted to the spot for two weeks?

I think that when the emphsis is mainly on believing on Jesus we can make a dangerous mistake in causing people to not believe Jesus. The law of God, the ten commandments is our mirror that should show us our sins and the Holyspirit convicts us to look to Jesus. It can not save but the need for repentence should be evident when we see a sinless Christ crucified for our sins. So shouldn't they both be preached hand and hand ? Please show me your view and proof texts...here is mine. (1) Isaiah 58:1 (prophetic book : Show my people their sins...) (2)Revelations 2:5 (prophetic book: Remember whence thou art fallen...repent.)(3)Gal.3:24 (The law was our school master... to bring us to christ...Mosiac and royal)(4)Romans 7:7 (Is the law sin? God forbid...Knowledge of what sin is.(5) 1 John 3:4 (Sin is the trangression of the Law...) (6)Hebrews 10:16-23 (God writes his Laws in our hearts...Let us draw near with a true heart....lets us hold fast our professsion..)(7)Hebrews12:2 (Look to Jesus)

I answered a question earlier today that reminded me of a movie quote:

"...The 'who' and the 'how' are just window dressing. Keeps us from asking the important question, 'why'."
-- Mr. X from "JFK"

I started thinking, "Is this the reason so many people have the perceptions about life that they maintain"?
I am curious to see what you guys think.

Does anyone know if a blue dwarf gourami would get on with some neon tetras? the guy at my local pet shop who is very helpful told me hes had loads of people have trouble with gourami's being a bit bullying (ie they try to eat the other fish) towards their other fish. So he told me to get some red honey gourami's instead... thing is I have had my heart set on a blue dwarf gourami for AAAAAGES and I dont want to get it if it eats my neons up ... anyway that i can at least help them get along ?? At the moment I have 5 neon tetras. They are doing well and I was thinking maybe upping it to a 10 fish shoal to deter the gourami from bullying? but I wasn't sure if different tetras would shoal together or not ... so do i go for another 5 neon tets or just different tets to give the tank a bit of variation? aaaargh I feel like my head is gonna explode with all these questions . Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Oh and my tank is 35 litres (10 UK gallon i think )

Hello. I start basic soon and am hopefully off to the Coldstream Guards.

When I was a boy and my grandpa was alive he'd tell me all of his wartime stories and I grew up on a diet of nostalgia and WW2 documentaries which shaped me in the years to come. I am eager to join today's Army but am wondering, I'd really like to see and experience some echoes of the Army my grandpa joined seventy years ago- will I find any?

Thanks!
