He not only likes her but he's also considerate for her safety too. Ask yourself - would you walk someone home in the pouring rain if you didn't really like them?

Ask him about a new movie. Don't say you want to see it, and see what he says. If he wants to take you on a date to see it, then maybe he's more than just a friend.
