im on holiday my hotel room is 11th {top floor} through the night everywhere is flooded im looking out from my balcony im surrounded by the sea.

This killed me deeply when i found out the girl i see as a role model was getting raped and molested ever since she was 4 years old. she is turning 17 and still is going through this craziness!!! I hate for the simple fact that she told people such as her mom coaches and school counselor and this person is still not put in jail. My friend is very smart and athletic and she has soo much going for her. she is the top of our class and she is a beast in basketball, and she works a part time job.all around she is very strong young individual. she told all this to me last nite and i will not stop until this person that is doing this is put to jail. today i had her talk to the counsleor and aparently they have already talked!! Why isn't anything happening yet?? Who can i talk to to get this all over with? who can i call? plz help me becuz she really does not deserve this!

It happens. There are cases where people DO use birth control and take the necessary precautions and still wind up pregnant. There are always other alternatives to getting an abortion but not one of them is ideal. The way I see it, you A.Get the abortion and you are committing a mortal sin. You kill life. I was adopted (I was spared) and I can't imagine feeling good about killing what is rightfully mine... it could have been me. B.Put the baby up for adoption. That isn't a great solution either because you don't know what kind of a family it will end up in. I had a GREAT life and I absolutely would not accept anything less for my child. So that's risky. Oh and the fact that you will wake up everyday for the rest of your life wondering. C.Keep it. But by doing so, you are essentially forfeiting your own life. Yes, you screwed up and yes, it isn't the poor little babies fault. But in all honesty, whose life is more valuable? Making the choice to get one is suffering in itself, enough.

Let me start out by saying I live in the state of Missouri, I know laws can vary state by state. Also I'm in no way wanting to screw my landlord over, I just want to do whats fair and have him do the same.
My heat went out last night and I have called my landlord and even gone downstairs to look at the furnace myself, hit a reset button, checked the pilot light, etc.
Anyhow its supposed to get into the 30's all week at night. I'm using a space heater right now but its not really doing the job very well and its only in the 50's outside right now. I'm scared that its going to be downright freezing in here again, isnt there some sort of law that states my landlord must provide heat when it gets to a certain temperature outdoors?
I have looked at various websites and have not found any clear definitions, just wondering if someone out there knew.
Also if I call an HVAC guy myself is it in my legal rights to withhold the amount it took to fix the furnace from the rent?

My stepmum committed suicide last year after suffering from depression and my dad has been left to look after her young daughter!! He has always been not keen on children but has built a really strong bond with her and really deserves something nice for the day. Its his 50th on Xmas Eve and he really deserves it!!
