I advised them about things being taken out of content, and invited them to read the Song of Solomon if they had not done so. I also would have asked them had thy never heard of inheritence, because of course the innocent babe had not sinned, but had inherited original sin from his original ancestors in a spiritual manner. Do you think the bible teaches
everyone to abstain from sex or lust, outside of marriage? Fortification is a sin last time I heard.

Thank everyone for my spelling correction ( Smile) Sometimes my fingers move faster than my mind, of course the word I meant to use was FORNICATION! Enough already ok?

To the person that mention the sin argument,I did not set out to piss people off with my question, nor am i am trying to force my beliefs on anyone else, but I do have my own convictions and I simply ask questions from my point of view and if it be unnerving to those that disagree,so be it!

Generally, Jesus preached about sin to believers; to unbelievers, he preached Love. The only ones whom he specifically said were in danger of Hell were the Jewish Scribes and Pharisees. As you can see from the answers to your question, telling non-believers about sin is a good way to piss them off and start an argument. There are good physical, emotional, and psychological reasons to argue for abstinence outside of marriage without throwing in the "sin" argument.

I tend to write fairly long responses, often doing a bit of research before I start writing. I find it very aggrevating when an asker deletes their own question, while I'm busy creating my response. In fact, I'd call it my pet peeve here in the R&S forum. It's damned unprincipled to remove your question while everybody is working on their responses, just because you happen to disagree with the first responses you've received. Narrow minded Christians are by far the worst offenders.

As for the rest of your question, I'm an atheist and an anti-theist, so I have no respect at all for anything found in the Bible. I'll spare you the trouble of ignoring my opinion.

Lastly, it's "fornication" that up-tight Christians consider a sin, not "fortification."

I Think that sex is the neatest, most wonderful thing in the world. It is for two consenting adults, regardless of their marital status.
Religion should have NO authority or say so, as to who, when where why, or if, those two same consenting adults, should do it.
There is no sin involved. it is you body, and you should do with it as you please. Use protection, to prevent STD's, and unwanted pregnancy.
Religious attitudes toward sex, is why there are so many rapists, and child molesters, and pediaphiles.
Sex education is the best way to teach people how to have sex safely. they should start it in the fourth grade. And parents should start talking to their kids about it, as soon as they are old enough to understand.
Our society is slanted toward sex to sell things. And the money you need to buy them. Sex and money are more important than anything else It is a sad commentary about our society that this is true.
The bible is an outdated set of rules, with dire punishments, if you don't tow the line. and it was created to keep the masses in line, and under control.
I for one don't live that way. My body is my own, and I make my own choices about how I live my life. I don't need a stupid book to do that.

Not to get too picky, but I think you probably mean "fornication" is a sin. Fortification is sort of like a military stronghold.

By the way, because there is no god, there is no such thing as sin. Expressing love in a physical way is natural.

Fornication is the word you want. There were many sinners and sins in the Bible- the stories are there. Having sex outside marriage was part of the culture then as they had to reproduce to gather food and take care of their animals, gather water, make clothes, etc. The 10 commandments forbid adultery. That is sex with someone outside your or their marriage, God gave us pleasure in sex so we would reproduce but he does not like it when we abuse it.

while you're asking if the activities she has planned are sinful, the respond is, "Goodness Gracious NO!! no longer as long as they are married." once you're asking replaced into it sinful to get became on with the aid of her description, my theory is that it may probable be quite difficult to no longer. Getting became on is a organic reaction. as long as you do no longer take a seat around fantasizing approximately somebody else's husband, i do no longer think of you have finished something incorrect.

I was trying to figure out why it was deleted, mine was yesterday too for a ?? that was a joke. anyway your ?? now said what I was saying anyway. I only want to add that we carry this sin so long as we choose to identify with this world [Adam ] but when we choose to identify with Christ [ the 2ND Adam] we are cleansed of that sin and are no longer of this world we just live here for a minute. God created us to have sex, He gave us a desire for it because we are to enjoy it fully within the marriage. He didn't give that to animals.
