How does the Holy Ghost feel about Santa taking his spot?

SYDNEY (AFP) - Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday.

Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported.

One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute.

"Gimme a break," said Julie Gale, who runs the campaign against sexualising children called Kids Free 2B Kids.

"We are talking about little kids who do not understand that "ho, ho, ho" has any other connotation and nor should they," she told the Telegraph.

"Leave Santa alone."

A local spokesman for the US-based Westaff recruitment firm said it was "misleading" to say the company had banned Santa's traditional greeting and it was being left up to the discretion of the individual Santa

The surge is working, and having a very positive effect. Also, on another note… Here is a very interesting statistic… during the past 6 years BEFORE the Iraq war, PEACE time military deaths totaled around 4,980; during war time ( last 6 years ) the number of deaths is less than 4,000 U.S. soldiers, 8,000 deaths from drunk driving, 1,500 drug/gang related deaths… I am not promoting the war. My point is the where is the outcry for domestic homicides which are far greater and yet seem to be acceptable, at least the silence would seem to make it so. Here is another example of how repugnant political correctness has evolved…

Mom is tired but still put three squares of meal in front of son
Mom loves him dearly and would give her life for him eventhough hes grown
Grown daughter is living by herself independently working and paying her way through life because mom taught her girls must be strong and not let men rule them. Shes been on her own since 18. Shes a payroll secretary/
Son does. nothing
Mom feels its best that he entertain in her home rather than out there in the world where he might get into trouble. He loves the attention. Daughter resents his attitude
I say Treat both the same. Its unfair to him. She enabing him to be a grown child. He should be on his own too. Mom still works eight hour shift and dasjhes home to feed her boyfriend who doesnt work and her son.

One day hope said to trust:
Will you ever trust me?
Trust unwillingly said:
You are just mere hope.
How could i ever trust you?
So hope went back home,
Feeling hopeless.

But on another occasion,
Trust was feeling vulnerable;
So he asked hope:
Is there anymore hope left?
Hope simply answered:
It has always been there
until you started to mistrust me!

Hope and trust then,
Were torn apart,
Without either hope
or trust.

;-)

Husband and wife are lying quietly in bed reading when the wife looks over at him and asks the question.
Wife: What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?
Husband: "Definitely not!"
Wife: "Why not? Don't you like being married?"
Husband: "Of course I do."
Wife: "Then why wouldn't you remarry?"
Husband: "Okay, okay, I'd get married again."
Wife: "You would?" (with a hurt look)
Husband: (makes audible groan)
Wife: "Would you live in our house?"
Husband: "Sure, it's a great house."
Wife: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"
Husband: "Where else would we sleep?"
Wife: "Would you let her drive my car?"
Husband: "Probably, it is almost new."
Wife: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"
Husband: "That would seem like the proper thing to do"
Wife: "Would you give her my jewelry?"
Husband: "No, I'm sure she'd want her own."
Wife: "Would you take her golfing with you?
Husband:"Yes, those are always good times."

I really want to be by myself so I can heal from alot of male issues I've had in my life before him and including him. He have hurt me terribly too. My father died and I got marry too soon after that. Also I had been in a relationshhip with someone else for two years before that. I also like to mention that my father hurted me tremendously also. I don't want hurt my husband or myself but I don't want him the way a woman should want her husband. I want him to find happiness. What I really want to know is how can I get out of this marriage? I want to get annullment but he keep telling me we haven't been marry long enough to get one. We got marry 6/1/07, how long do I have to wait? My father died 3/07/07. Also this man has similar quality as my father do and that is begining to be a turn off because my father molested me as a child. It's like dealing with my dad. Sick! Please Help!

She seems a nice person who dotes on her husband and children, she works full time even though they have a 5 yr old due to finances not being great, she brings more money into the house than him but he has started smoking, and spends "his" money on what he wants sometimes leaving them in arrears with the rent.
He is a handy man when he wants to be but he is very shy of housework even though they both work full time.
She has had 3 long term relationships and ended 2 of them for diffrent reasons, she loves this man but the money worries are gonna seperate them for sure, she wants her youngest daughter to be with her dad as the other two children only got to visit theirs.

jeremiah 33:22:

"As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me."

the bible has the usual pre-euclidean notion that one cannot count the stars, because there simply are not enough numbers in existence.

but this is untrue. we know that there are more natural integers than there are stars - infinitely more in fact.

many ancient peoples believed that the number line was finite (and christians still do). but since euclid enlightened people have known otherwise. the stars can be numbered (and so can the grains of the sea).

to suggest that the seed of david cannot be numbered is just silly. at the most generous estimate there can hardly have been as many as fourteen billion even by now.

but then believing silly things is like eating noodles: once you have started you can't stop.
