First I would make sure it's legal in your state. My state it is illegal.

Statute text
(1) No person shall operate a motor vehicle of a type required to be registered under the laws of this state upon a public highway with either the rear or front suspension system altered or changed from the manufacturer's original design except in accordance with specifications permitting such alteration established by the department. Nothing contained in this section shall prevent the installation of manufactured heavy duty equipment to include shock absorbers and overload springs, nor shall anything contained in this section prevent a person from operating a motor vehicle on a public highway with normal wear of the suspension system if normal wear shall not affect the control of the vehicle.

There are a couple of ways. You can either cut the front coil springs and add some lowering shocks (cheap and dangerous). You can also buy some drop spindles, lowering springs, and lowering shocks, preferrably coil overs. It costs more but you get a better ride and it is much safer and will last longer.

Change old springs to Air Ride unit? best to hire a shop to do it kinda hard? you have take front end apart? jacking up body/frame from wheel assembly.. loosen variuos parts away from suspension? cost to shop do it Priceless lees frustation on your part cost in real life maybe $1000.00 or less??

buy a new suspension that has adjustable settings so you can lower it.
