I mean, if you think about it, if I say "I think God exists", and someone else says "I don't believe in God", that should about do it for that whole conversation, right? Why does each camp feel the need to defend their beliefs, when neither view can be proven? In the words of Rodney King

He just moved here and Im actually his only friend. We just got back froma trip with his family. He and I are way different but we we knew that. We got in a fight the other night and i said somethings I shouldnt have but that next morning I bought a card that said "I love you", and that I hope we work things out. Then he said that he needed space.

Sometimes I feel I am stuck in a mire

I Need someone who IS a Vetrinarian, not someone who thinks thay know what to do and not some 12 year old pretending to be one and there not.. My cat just recently ran away, she was gon for three days and then came back, I found her this morning and the end of her tail (about the last three inches) has been cutoff, all of the skin and fur is gone, it is left with nothing except the small bone. She is not acting like she is in any pain, and she will let me touch it to clean it off, but I d not know, what to do. Does she need to be taken in and have this piece of bone removed? or will the skin and fur grow back? what do I do? I dont want it to get infected, and I dont want her to get something that cant be fixed. My boyfreind has an ignition interlock in his car. I am borrowing while I'm out of town. Its pretty simple to use, but I have a cocktail thing going in in a week. I am not a big drinker, but usually will have a glass of wine that will last me an hour to get through. I know I will obviously be under the legal limit, but I don't want to ruin his reading record by it showing up over .02 (won't start if it over that). So what will help so I can plan this out? How long should I wait to try and start it? 1 hour after the glass of wine? 2 hours? Will lots of water after I drink my glass of wine help or hurt it? By the way, my car's transmission is out, thats why I can't drive mine.

I'm a teenager and I'm having a Christmas party, I was wondering what sort of food I should have, after all pizza isn't very Christmassy, but then again the whole roast is a bit too much, do you have any ideas (vegatarien recipes are welcome).
Should I have a themed party? Or is this too much to think about during the Christmas period?

One of the examples in my notes states: Dr. D who has a mass of m=68kg easts a 300 Cal candy bar and then climbs 10 stories (Delta h= 35 meters) to his office. How many Calories has he burned?

so Work done = the change of PE (potential energy) = mgh= (68kg)(9.8 m/s^2) (35m) = 23300 J x (1Cal/ 4186 J)= 5.6 Cal

I understand the process of how they get 5.6 Cal but what I don't understand is why they used Word done= the change of PE? I thought Work was = the change of KE (kenetic engery)? isnt potential energy defined as stored energy associated w/position or configuration? or is the potential energy actually stored in Dr. D himself? and KE is derived from a veloctiy acting on a system?? please help explain this!!!

I have come to realize upon looking at the calendar that there are a lot of days in spring (especially May) that can be a holiday. By that I mean those holidays that change date each year like Mother's Day and Memorial Day.

What I am wondering is, did you choose your date so that it would never fall on one of those holidays, so that you would always have that one special day for the two of you? Or did you not let that influence your decision?

Also, did your birthday influence your date choice? In other words, did you try to plan your wedding to be a significant amount of time away from either of your birthdays?

I'm getting my braces off next month and I am so nervous. Not so nervous about the brackets because they have accidentally taken those off while tightning them and it didn't hurt, but I'm nervous about the molar bands. How do they take them off? I go back in 3 weeks to get the bands taken off, a few brackets and to get impressions done and then I go back 2 weeks after that to get the rest of the hardware off and to get my retainer. How do they take impressions with the braces still on, sounds kind of stupid, wouldn't they just come off with the impressions?

A few years ago my Husband co-signed a mortgage taken out on the house. The house belongs to my Mother-in-law. Now that the mortgage has my husbands name on it, and we want to purchase our first home, his Mother is angry and won't take his name off and refuses to sell. We wanted to know what we can do (if anything can be done) and the smart way to go about it without damaging my husbands credit. The house is VERY small, the schools near here are terrible, and neighborhood has fallen apart. And I'm suffocating under stress. Please help.

we have been together for a yr and some change. there was cheating and lieing b4 :both of us:but we have been working through it! Thngs were realllly good latley. this is a long story so brace yourself.
right i used to hang around with these ppl they seemed nice so i talked to them at break and stuff then all of a sudden most of them got all boring and mean like yesterday 1 of the girls she scraped my face and made my EYE BLEED!!! i hate her soo much and im the only 1 out of the group that does cos she is always sucks up them acting all shy and stuff, its all a show, anyways, the rest of them became all distant and now we have nothing in common im a mosher and where band wristbands and stuff they they are bacically chavs,

theres only 1 person that still wants to talk 2 me and we have been friends 4 nearly 8 years or somethin and ive been talkin to another group of ppl they have alot in common with me like we like the same music etc and im sorta stuck now cos i really want 2 get 2 no these ppl cos they r really nice but my old friend still wants me to hang around with her and her friends but they normally ignore me or just take the piss HELP
