im due next month. im really leaning towards the name Imani.
its swahili and means faith and no its not a made up syllable blah blah blah ghetto name! oh and yes my baby is half black. lol. people always have something negative to say. so please take your negativity somewhere else. and im not looking for those like mary sara sue kinda names. something just as unique as the first name.

I am just curious as to why? I am very interested in some guys I see that are white, but they never walk up to talk to me. Even any in my classes. Only when they are drunk and on bourbon street do they have the guts. What is up with that?

I've been donating rice using the freerice.com website and I wanted to know exactly how much I was donating in terms of cups.

By the way, if you haven't gone to that website, do it. It improves your vocabulary as you donate rice to the poor for FREE. You don't have to sign up or anything.

My first job I was at for over a year and a half but was fired. My next several jobs were through a temp agency and never took them seriously so I had about 5 jobs there. Then I went to school for a year but moved to Portland because where I lived before had no good job. I got a job the day I moved here and have been there for about 6 months. I want to make more money and have always wanted to be a police officer. How can I bypass my inconsistent work history in the application process? I am a good person, not lazy, I was just young and wanted a good job. I like my job now it just does not pay.

You'd think I'd be mad when I found out my ex...whom i really loved, was cheating on me. But actually im still in love with him. is this terrible? i think it is. but, i mean, i can't control my feelings for him. i tried to not like him so hard. i finally believed i didnt like him. but then i saw him and i immediately knew i was just lying to myself. isnt this bad? and i really wanna win him back, but idk how to cause idk what it was that made him cheat on me. was it the fact i wasn't pretty enough for him? am i too fat? did my personality change? what happened? I cant ask him though, cause he doesn't know that i know. he told his best friend and he made his best friend promise not to tell anyone- but he told me cause he felt i should know. but i just don't know whats wrong with me.

It would be nice to have, but its just not a financial reality. take a look:

Medicare and Medicaid total almost 700 BILLION dollars worth of the federal budget. And that's just the federal budget, states pay for a large portion of medicaid so i bet its pushing $1 trillion dollars in goverment healthcare spending currently. And the programs only insure about 20% of our population. So we take 1 trillion X 4 to get the other 4/5ths of our population covered so youre looking at an increase of 3.5-4 trillion dollars (granted medicare is old and disabled people who use more healthcare, so its probably more like a 2-3 trillion increase) Anyway, were running a deficit right now of 500 billion per year. Where is the money going to come from to finance this?

I ask because I think I am a pretty typical American-mutt...that is the only way I can think of to describe my ethnicity.
My dad is half German, half Irish...but my mom is English, Scottish, Dutch, French, Syrian and Native Mohawk....
Many times I envy those who were raised with a strong cultural identity...

I plugged it in to the power. Then I plugged up my PS3 with the red, white, and yellow cables going into their respective holes on the modulator. Then, I screwed the cable cord from the wall into the modulator. Then i took a coaxel cable and screwed one end into the TV and the other end into the modulator. The modulator had a switch on it that said "channel three and channel four". I switched it to channel four and then turned on the TV. Nothing showed up, only static. No cable, no playstation when i turned the playstation on. I had it on channel 4 the whole time, then i changed it to channel 3. i tried ALL the combinations possible and still no signal on the TV. I unscrewed all the cords and then plugged the Cable cord directly into the TV like it was before. But this time, the cable was all fuzzy on the TV. and it was like that on all the TVs in the house. Fuzzy. so now the Cable is messed up. But, I still want to know why the PS3 wasnt showing up on the TV like it should.

My best friend just got word from her husband who just got sworn in as a citizen 1 week ago, that he no longer wants to be with her and that he is involved with someone else. She had no idea he was probably just using her to gain his citizenship. They have been married for 7 years. Any advice I can give her.
