Found a peanut.
Cracked it open.
It was rotten.
Ate it anyway.
Got sick.
Called the doctor.
Doctor said I wouldn't die.
Died anyhow.
Went to heaven.
Gate was closed.
Climbed over.
Met St. Peter.
St. Peter said go to the other place.
Went to the other place.
Woke up.
Found a peanut...

My children and I used to sing in the car, and now my grandchildren do it. We sang found a peanut, Little Red Caboose. Most people here are too young to remember the old windshield wipers. But they did not always go the same speed, if you were going up a hill, they went slower, down a hill, they went faster. Anyway we would sing Little Red Caboose, to the beat of the windshield wipers, wiper went right, that was the word, Little, wiper went left, that was Red and so on, it was fun.
We used to sing, There's a pawn shop on the corner in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and I just gotta get, five or ten, from that pawn shop in the corner in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, gotta be with my baby again. Thanks for bringing back all the old memories.

We sang that song as kids and in Girl Scouts. We loved it, but I'm sure the folks got tired of hearing it. There are different versions. Here's one:
